Parker...I've wanted to see Dick Gregory live for a while...Brother West is one of the finest American intellectual S alive today. His books "Race Matters" and "Democracy Matters" are two of the finest examples of the tradition of prophetic wisdom in Black American theology/sociology. He is the closest legacy to the revolutionaries of yore.

In 2001, Prince anonymously donated $12,000 to the Louisville Free Public Library System to keep the Western Branch Library from closing. It was the first full-service library for black Americans.

RIP... would have been 60 today.  My biggest musical regret is that I never got to see Prince live.  I oh so wish there was more Prince content available out there on the interweb.  Just the coolest man to ever do it..
