only been to one show (2015 newport folk - no poster) and don't know the typical poster routine but love the artists who they choose to ink the memories.

so, what is the rundown on how to score posters at the shows? where are they available? how much? how many available? etc.

thanks. just want to have an idea how to grab one at the upcoming shows we are seeing.

Usually when an artist makes a show print, there will be at least 100-200, but it can always vary depending on a lot of reasons (the artist themselves, venue, multiple night run, etc.). A good rule of thumb to score a poster at MMJ shows is to get in when the doors open or shortly after, and they will typically run you $25-$35. However, they often go for more, sometimes a significant amount more, days after the show from people selling on ebay or when the artist puts them up on their website. Check here and/or social media ahead of time to see if the artist has made it known what the print will look like if there is in fact a poster for a given show.

As far as where to get them, ask someone who works at the venue where the merch tent/stand is. Posters will be sold alongside the t-shirts/vinyl/other items, sometimes at multiple locations. The venue folks are usually willing to point you in the right direction.
