2012 was better in some ways, just so many cherished deep cuts and white whales, but last nights performance was earth shattering and powerful and i feel like they just set a new standard.  It had everything and was performed masterfully.

Still in awe.

Agreed. 2012 shows were just slightly better.

I need these shows to be released. I need it.

i cannot wait to hear that Picture of You and Just One Thing. Supposedly, State of The Art was fucking out of control awesome.

any run these guys are going to do is going to be unbelievable.
I personally favor the two nights at the Fillmore 2005 which made up Okonokos and then im very very very fond of 8/3 and 8/4/2012 Red Rocks, as well as Vegas 2015, as for the two night runs.

Impossible to rank at this point. Each new show is a different chapter in the red rocks book they are writing- no point in comparing or ranking those chapters as the story is incomplete without one. They've been playing this venue since 2007. A lot has changed since then and they continue to build.

Probably the best 2 night run since Louisville 2 weeks ago.

Not to my knowledge. Or knocking on heavens door from N1.

i know the shows were filmed...I can see the screens on the fan phone videos on youtube. it seems a LOT like the same cinematography as used for the AXS 8/4/2012 experience. We need to see it to judge it, if not at least get a good sounding audience tape for both nights. I'm through one listen now and it's awesome. Who was there? We NEED reports from people WHO WERE THERE. That's the dealio seriously..nobody'll know where it ranks, but I'll trust JohnnyYac's opinion and whoever else was there.

Oh and Dancefloors on 5/29 was just awesome, listening to the audience tape. Holy shit, I was glad Carl didn't take a small, bluesy approach like on 8/4/2012, he just dove straight into this rip roaring ridiculous shred fest. it seems like the first time the boys have played that arrangement of Dancefloors where Tommy does a solo with an auto-wah, like on Okonokos (not really a solo..but ya know). It sounded even better than 8/4/2012's version and that version, with its horns, was my favorite all time next to Okonokos.

I was there. I've been to every red rocks run since their first in 2007. Last night was fantastic. War Begun>I Will Sing was a standout for me. But again, no point in ranking

Every show at red rocks is pro shot. It was the regular in house crew, not axs.

really??? thank you for the info pagerage!! who owns the footage after its filmed? Red Rocks? Would the band be able to buy the footage or get it for free from the venue for an official release? This is interesting. You've been to every single one?? Including the two opening stints for Bob Dylan in 2007 was it? or who did they open for I can't remember, but the second night's setlist is missing for the show.

Very VERY interesting pagerage!

Correct, 2007 was opening for Dylan. Then they went went down to Telluride and opened for him in Town Park. Only those 3 shows. Someone in the Dylan camp invited them as a one off during his tour. I believe the jacket might have been recording in CO at the time?

I imagine red rocks retains the rights but is willing to set something up with the bands. Probably determined ahead of time. But every band I've ever seen there has had the screen used and with good camera work. The AXS thing was a separate deal, although they patched that feed in to the screen.
