Ok, guys not many of you hail from Australia so it won't be relevant.. In saying that I'm in a deep deep Jacket live void of no return.. I need a jacket tour soon or I will just collapse. This thread is just to have the powers that be realize that there are fans in the southern hemisphere.

no I keep pushing it on tom's twitter with no luck... it seems they don't prioritize overseas tours probably because of lack of demand. It makes sense but still there are a few of us outside of the states.

darizzzla

well what you're saying makes perfect sense , i posted a similiar thing & just found out they toured europe ( not my country , Romania ) with the ocasion of last years album . could have made it , Germany for example isn't that far away . next time i guess . maybe you'll fly also to europe .lol

Considering I just moved back from the philly area I'm lucky to have seen them many times not very far away from here I use to live.. But if I had never lived in the states and as I consider myself a rather huge fan of the band seeing them ever 5 years or so really wouldn't cut it. I do get it, it's a long long way for a few fans.

i can see no one has answered your topic, same thing asked only i'm from europe  , did you find out anything meanwhile ?

no I keep pushing it on tom's twitter with no luck... it seems they don't prioritize overseas tours probably because of lack of demand. It makes sense but still there are a few of us outside of the states.

I feel for ya man. I know I get jonesin for Jacket shows and I live in the Northeast where we get a decent amount of shows. It would be hard for me to take if I had to go 4-5 years between shows.

I don't know what the answer is for you though other than patience and hope.  I do know even Springsteen goes that long between shows in Australia. Hell, he's touring there in 17 and playing pretty decent size venues where they're throwing boat loads of cash at him, and it'll still be 4-5 years between his tours there.

Hopefully the new album next year will bring a world tour, and you get some shows.

that sucks! I live in SLC, Utah, a place that gets quite a good amount of shows, but not ALWAYS. MMJ have skipped us many times on tour, I just feel lucky for the times they haven't. You Should've caught them in Australia in 2012, 2012, for me, was their greatest touring year yet. They were magical to see on that tour.

I hope they get back to you guys, but then again, they're only 5 humans who play their asses off every night and tour demands the world over are gonna be tiring (Jim is doing solo shit and producing so many different people's albums, compiling / mixing the live album TOO and Tom, Pat, Carl and Bo were touring with Ray LaMontagne). They've been so fucking busy, even with this down time, plus they even found a way to play a career expanding set at Lockn, too.

Trust me, I get sick of not seeing them live every year, or being able to afford Red Rocks and OBH, I  feel the blues when I can't make those events. All I can say for myself, though, is I'm making as much money as I possibly can so I can do those things in the future.

Hopefully this thread gets their attention.
