Thom Joad, it was great to meet you— you chatted with me and my husband for a few minutes after night 4 and thanks so much for turning us on to archives.org:cool:

No PTM??  Damn, I was really hoping to hear that show again, I thought they killed it!  The wind wouldn't allow a good recording?

Anyway thanks again and looking forward to hearing nights 1 & 2!

I'm not a jealous or envious kind of person, but chatter about these shows is pushing the limit.  Three nights and seven albums including every MMJ song they have ever released is mind boggling.  Work will never allow us to attend given the current timing of this event which is even more unfortunate because my birthday happened to fall on the last night of this year's fun where they played for 3.5 hours.

I'm glad folks enjoyed the shows and definitely wish we could have been there.  I echo the hope the band finds a way to get proper copies of the shows in the hands of fans!
I feel your pain. It's unbelievable to me that people who aren't even familiar with the catalogue shelled out money for this. And all the people talking. I can't imagine spending thousands of dollars to go to a festival of a band I don't absolutely love. Happy for everyone that made it, but damn. Also idk how I feel about trying to go in the future since they already played EVERYTHING this year...

One thing about chatter and talking you hear - this is the only show where people are delivering you "free drinks" the entire time.  There is a lot of "thank yous" "gracias" and thinks like that being said when they hand you a drink, plus people placing specific drink orders with the staff.  I was by the soundboard -- people were into the show, and having fun and not just chatting the night away, but there was a lot of "excuse me" and "heads up" because full trays of drinks were coming into the crowd.

Funny story - one guy dropped an entire tray of drinks on me, i was soaked from the chest down.  He was so upset but I just started laughing, told him "fuck it, don't worry about it" I put my arm around him and we rocked out!  The staff was awesome!  Lots of them getting down during the show.

I'm a massive fan. Have been since 2002. My wife isn't but she loves the beach. Great vacation for both of us.

Just finished Evil Urges and Look at you was by far my favorite track they played. Absolutely beautiful, never heard it live (in person) before.

Have you tried Archivist?  I'm not sure if it's available on Android but I assume it would be.  Relisten is another good one.

One week ago today I was in a beautiful place!  Enjoy:

BTW - Did anyone keep track of which tunes the Preservation Horns sat in for?  If so, please let me know as I'd like to add it to the text files.

First of all thanks for these recordings
PHJB played on Dancefloors, One Big Holiday, and Easy Morning Rebel Night 2
Evil Urges, Highly Suspicious, Black Metal, Magic Bullet, and One Big Holiday again night 4
I for the life of me do not remember if they did anything night one with MMJ but I'll try to find out.  Once again appreciate your effort to bring these to everybody.

Sadly not I.  I didn't even take many pictures -- I was so entranced by the band, the crowd, and the moon.

If you can find pictures of the setlists, it's noted where Pres Hall joined in.

If you can find pictures of the setlists it's noted on there which songs Pres Hall joined in on.  Might be up at setlist.fm too.
Cuz it's been so long since someone shattered me.

This.  So magical and though I've only been back home a few days, I am still enchanted by the experience.  Took a long time to get there- and back- but if it would have been easy, I would not have cared..

Looks like someone here http://archive.mymorningjacket.net/ has the songs noted.  Thanks again for your hard work taping, converting and posting these shows!

Every year I've worried that they won't release the shows. Now it's confirmed we're getting an official release of every album, live? Lesgo!

Emb1528

Agreed! Can't wait.

I was pretty sure the initial announcement said attendees would get free downloads, like they've done each year i've been there.

Good to see it confirmed. Can't wait to relive it all, especially The Tennessee Fire.
