I'm getting fired up about my trip up to the Big Apple so I was just checking to see what some of you folks thought were the best recordings around the ISM era. I have a couple but I thought there might be one or two out there that were much better than the ones I have. I love the 04 Roo recording and I'm sure they played some more shows around that time period with that much intensity. If anyone feels free to run with this and talk about your favorite recording from whichever album's time period feel free to. Maybe we can get some real gems to resurface on here.

These are the only '04 recordings I've heard.  Each is available on the live music archive.  Setlists and comments come from the MMJ site archive.  Most have streaming, so you can sample them before you download.  I'll let you decide which are keepers (or grab 'em all like I did).

Note:
My Morning Jacket had an absolute blast at this show as it started as easily the hottest and most humid show they've ever played. Then, during "At Dawn" the wind started whipping, the sky turned black, and just as "Steam Engine" started sheets of rain careened off the crowd, the band, and the equipment. It was as life altering as it was life threatening and they had the time of their lives...
