Wondering if anybody has a MMJ inspired tattoo or ideas they've thought of.
In the process of designing an American Traditional sleeve inspired by my favorite bands and want to incorporate something MMJ related into it.
Not looking for obvious symbolism but something subtle. For example it'll have a queen of diamonds to reflect the Grateful Dead lyric "I can tell the queen of diamonds by the way she shines" My favorite line in my favorite song by them, loser.

Right now my thought is a front facing steam engine since steam engine is my favorite song of all time. My one hold up on it is I have no interest whatsoever in trains.

Always been a fan of their posters. They are all unique. Maybe something from a poster from a favorite show.

ChiefOKONO

Great idea... some unique poster art could be pretty amazing!

If you follow their fan page on Facebook, people will periodically ask this same question and others will post their MMJ tattoos, just a thought to search there.

Ironically I had an appointment to get the Bonnaroo 2008 poster on my forearm from a Korean artist who did a guest spot in NYC for a week.
Long story short he was running about 4 hours behind schedule and I had a concert to get to that I wasn't willing to miss so I walked out.

Unfortunately that tattoo would have been so detailed and complicated there is probably only two people worldwide that I'd trust doing it, that particular artist being one of them.
The other quoted me $5,000 to do it which I had to turn down.

Come Closer

Not trying to be a jerk, but the queen of diamonds isn't subtle. There's about 10 million heads out there with that tattoo.

Fair enough, maybe you're right. I've yet to see it.. but I appreciate your opinion

ChiefOKONO

Oh that would have been INCREDIBLE! I hope you can get it one day....

I don't know, at the same time it wouldn't be something that screams GD. The "common folk" wouldn't follow. It's not a stealie or dancing bear! I'd still call it subtle in respect to the greater population.

Jackets N Pones

If Steam Engine is your favorite song I think a disco ball would be cool and subtle, I feel like they always have the disco ball going for Steam also on Live at 9:30 Jim asks y'all got any disco ball back there? Also the Pandas from Z are tight
Here it is, in its entirety, our cover of ELO's Telephone Wire

At some point I'm getting the MMJ bear, Radiohead bear and the Grateful Dead bear encircling a guitar centered sun.

Four years ago I found myself at a tattoo shop with my wife.  She told me to get the first thing I could think of and now I have the Okonokos monkey on my leg.

I have the bear from ISM playing a Flying V, a mandala-esque owl, and a rendition of the robot octopus off the OBH4 poster taking up the majority of my forearms.
If you don't know yourself, how could you ever know me?

That will be very cool.
Cuz it's been so long since someone shattered me.

I'm excited to see these tattoo ideas come to life in photographic format posted on here! :D

Always wanted a design around the phrase "Death is the easy way"

ChiefOKONO

That is an intriguing idea!

I'd love to see the first one.

Catch me at railbird, bonnaroo, or Hulaween! I made the mistake of posting a pic of it in a Facebook group once, and a month or two later, someone else had copied it.   :lipsrsealed:

Who cares?  You had a great idea, shared it, and then someone thought it was awesome enough to copy it forever via a tattoo on their body.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
