Interesting interview.  I thought the talk about having to move OBH because "there were a bunch of festivals that couldn't happen on the site that we normally do OBH" was interesting.  I wonder what's going down at Hard Rock RM?  There are no festivals planned there next year.
Cuz it's been so long since someone shattered me.

Yeah that was a great and super insightful interview, but I am also curious about the reasoning for moving OBH.
I heard at one point that HRRM is doing a lot of room renovations so that's why they can't host festivals for a bit, I'm guessing it's gotta be a sellout of the resort for the venue and all the bands and promoters to make their money.
Came for the reverb, stayed for the jams

Fantastic interview, and I love how he talks about such a great place the band is in, and thinks they're better than ever.

Also so cool to hear more about the decision to really mix up the setlists, the how and why they're doing it. Used to be you had to do multi night runs to get different tunes, but now it appears we get that on a night to night basis.

I'm hoping for a big powerful 2025 tour! Can't wait.
"Where's Jim going?"

Yes, great points!

Sometimes in the age of the interwebs I think that I forget that the process takes much longer when you are trying to promote and album more traditionally.  They don't seem to really want to pull a Jack White type of secret release.
Love that they are having so much fun now and it shows.  I think they are excited to see what next year brings musically.

I hope that Brendan brought out some aspects of the band we have never really seen before in the studio.

The amount of time in soundcheck blew me away!  Maybe they don't really need to play the songs on their own to keep them fresh.  I love that they have various different lists and they pull bits from different ones.
I want to say I read before that they look at what they've played in a certain city in the past as well.  Is that true?

Also I am curious to hear more about the official live albums and what the process is to select what to release.

This is a fantastic interview, and thanks for sharing it CC!  I love the new album talk and I'm looking forward to what a producer will bring to the mix.  The setlist/sound check bit was good fun, but I really was struck by Patrick's 2022 memories, especially since we drove by on the, cough  , Second St Bridge looking down on the stage as they took it apart the day they were supposed to play.  I sure do hope they can find a way to make another multi night run happen in Louisville!

But the best part is it sure does sound like they are in a good place as a band, and they are having fun which no doubt will lead to fun for the rest of us.  See you in 2025!!!
