Does anybody know when where is the best time to see it? I want to plan a trip in the next few years to see it and would like some info.

Where are you planning on going? The farther north the better.

Dee.

What a beautiful sight that would be.  This page says the best months are September and March and the best states are Alaska and northern states by the Canadian border.

Harris, Saskatchewan is supposed to be a very magnificent place to watch the northn lights.  I cannot verify that from my own eyes, but I certainly trust the people who told me so.  :)

Last year after Junior/Senior, as i was driving my most lovely (and quite worn-out, as it was 3 in the morning) my girlfriend and I noticed the sky was this weird green, and it was flickering. And I realized it was the northern lights. It was so magical, especially since it was that night. So amazing.
The river is moving. The blackbird must be flying.
