i didn't get any cds over the weekend (can't find andrew bird here, but i'll keep looking) but i did pick up a copy of nick hornby's 31 Songs.

i know high fidelity's been mentioned in other topics as a GREAT book, has anyone read his other books?

any love?

i guess while i've started this, what other great books have you read about music?
my two favs would be high fidelity, and an equal music by vikram seth
love a song for the way it makes you feel

"Midnight Riders: The Story of the Allman Brothers Band"
-Scott Freeman
a great book!!

"Broken Music: A memoir"
Sting
more autobiographical and not that much about his music but still very interesting...Sting's a great writer!

"Bob Dylan: Watching The River Flow 1966-1995"
Paul Williams
pretty good book although not as good as I thought it would be.

I like Nick Hornby. I've read About A Boy, High Fidelity & 31Songs.
My fav music book is Cash: The Autobiography.
I also like Peter Guralnick's Last Train To Memphis & Carless Love.
I have a beautiful photography book featuring lots of the original Fat Possum's artists called Darker Blues.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

I've only read Hornby's _Long Way Down_, but I really liked it.

For another great music book, try:
_Wheel on Fire_ by Levon Helm
