I cant believe he had the V under the cape...that was freakin' awesome...
Say friend, you got any more of that good sasparilla?

TheRoof

Ok....

That and Conan's OBH appearance has tied with me as their Greatest Television Performance to date....

Pure brilliance......the hidden flying V, the band's sound quality, Jim's vocal clarity, and the entire synchronicity of their performace further establishes their comfort on stage and their remarkably innate ability to capture a crowd that is not 'used' to a band like My Morning Jacket....I know without a doubt: True music lovers noticed this performance tonight and will join the ambassadors or the My Morning Jacket Family and Community

I LOVE IT!
You Are Everything

Yes..It was a brillant performance.  It had such a magical appeal to it.  Jim in his cape playing the omichord and revealing his flying V was such a great moment.  I think they help solified there role as Americas most relevant rock band right now.  I bet first timers are googling my morning jacket right now and seeing what they can get there hands on besides the new record.  Connan seemed more enthusiastic  then  ususal when he was  thanking the band.  When he said to Jim that was fantastic right when the cue to commercial break came, he was never more serious in his life.

Shit, I forgot about it. I hope someone taped it

dragonboy

Why isn't this up on youtube yet?!!!  >:( ;)
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

A couple of thoughts... Firstly, that was an awesome performance, and I'm sad I don't have all of them on my iPod to watch over and over again today. I hope the skit shows up, too, because I actually missed that.

Having the Flying V hidden under his cape was the coolest, most rock and roll thing ever. Wow, was that awesome!

The omnichord was set on a different "tune" (I've got a feeling I don't know the correct vocabulary for this), leading me to believe perhaps this is a brand new one - maybe a replacement of the one that was presumably destroyed during the Return to Thunderdome Pt. 2 performance? I can't tell the difference between a V-Chord and Omnichord.

Jim stayed frozen in place much, much longer than everyone else. It was funny.
--- and that's 2 real 4 u.

Yeah, Conan hesitated for a second to wait for Jim to come out of his pose before shaking his hand.  Then Conan goes, "I didn't want to break your trance."

Man that was great stuff.  The V has never sounded better, and what a way to bust it out.
Keep on dreamin' boy,
cuz when you stop dreamin'
it's time to die.

Corey, I do think that was Reg. It almost confirms it as well since it said he was from Alabama. Hes' probably up there for the show tonight.

Thank you very much Dragonboy!

This performance kicks ass!!

I love this band, and at first I had my doubts about Evil Urges, but the record has grown on me, and after watching this performance, I'm totally convinced. Damn this is good stuff!!!!

We are young despite the years,

we are hope despite the times
