Anyone here been to Peru?

Heya, I'm going next month to walk the Machu Picchu trail. 4 day hike with a big backback over my shoulders. Time to slap that nicotine patch on.  AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

If so, what did you think?

You'll love Macchu Picchu, and the four day walk is definitely the one to do.  Pack really light, but keep in mind it's going to be cold at 4,000m whatever the time of year.

Don't worry about the nicotine patches - there's nothing like a beer and a smoke at dawn on the final morning at the sun gate...

OMG - if you take an MP3 player you could actually listen to "At Dawn" as the sun comes up over the mountain!

This was our group at the highest point on the second day  - dead woman's pass.
