An update on my band "Hey Girl"

So my best friend/bass player/lead singer/theramin pole is not really showing up for rehersal anymore (he's having a baby) so I've decided to kick him out of the band.  I've since recruited my brother in law to play in the band.  He plays guitar so it looks like I'm going to have to switch over to bass.  We were going to learn a Karate cover but it's just to much for me to handle right now so I suggested we learn "The Distance" by Cake.  He hasn't really responded to this suggestion so if anyone has any good ideas about a cover we can start out with that has a badass bass line and that's not to hard to play, Let Me Know.  Thanks,

P.S. Man, having a band is harder than I thought it would be.  At least we have a kickass name.  My next order of buisness is to create a Myspace page.  That should be pretty entertaining.

my brother's starting a record label... he's already got three or four groups on it. despite being only 18, he's quite determined... we've got our own little recording studio up in his room, now, and he just got a reel to reel recorder...
he and i are gonna make tapes... it's gonna be really great... i'm pretty excited.

Nope guitar. Yeah it´s a really cool song and easy to play...and you don´t have to tune down your guitar!  8-)
