i was looking at some info on manchester (uk) recently, and never realised it was so small - around 500,000 with greater manchester somewhere around 2.5 million... which surprised me, as i'd always thought it was bigger.... (melbourne has nearly 4 million people).

anyway... as we all live in various parts of the world, (that some of us may not get to see) i'd love to see what the place where you live is like!! so, feel free to go take some photos that kind of show what your particular city is like... which bits would you show to the world?

if the weather's good this weekend i'll get some piccies of melb together... you northern hemisphere-ers are nearly in summer so you have no excuse for some lovely photos....!!

Well, I live in a little town south of St Louis, population about 8500. St Louis is a lot like Manchester. Greater area is 2-2.5 Million while actual St Louis I think is only a few hundred thousand now and continues to shrink.

here is the link to my little town. My house is actually the corner of Market, Columbia, and Main which you can kinda see underneath the 12 trees that surround my house.

i actually live in mankato not north mankato. combine around 50,000 with students its around 65,000
