QuoteHow many does A-Rod have?

A-ROD has 500 and he just turned 31. if he plays as long as bonds and stays healthy, he should be able to get almost 900
Much Greater Than Science Fiction

I'm really cheering for A-Rod to this record from Bonds [and I'm bored at work], so I ran some numbers.

Barry is completing his 22nd season in the majors.  I projected that he will hit 10 more HRs this year to make 766.  And I think he'll play one more year, hit 30, and end up with 796.

A-Rod will be completing his 14th year.   He's hit 36 so far this year so he is projected to hit 52 on the season.  That will put him at 516, a "mere" 280 from the record.

But if he completes 23 seasons like A-Rod and keeps his current pace...good news...he will hit 848 and take this record out of BB's greasy hands.

man, what a beautiful swing that man has.  if he had been healthy his whole career, i guarantee he would have more than bonds right now, and this dickhead (bonds) wouldn't even be talked about right now.

QuoteHey rugbird, I'm assuming your picking out my new avatar right about now.

Although, maybe a certain hamstring will give me a small chance to climb back in.

That and a bad Aramis wrist.  You're only 5 back I think.  Cubs just went 0-26 (last I looked) with risp.  We cant seem to homer either.  Getting worried.  D.Lee looks lost.  We called up Ronny Cedeno and Matt Murton  >:(

Felix Pie to start tonight, hopin for a turnaround but its in Colorado.
