Does anyone suggest doing the Louisville Slugger Museum?
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

I have never been but I want to go... If anyone's flying in and goes the the museum, I'd advise not buying a bat as they have a nice confiscation bin in the security line at the airport. I feel bad every time I see it and think some little kid had to give up his personalized bat.

If you have time, hit Bardstown Rd area, although CC has pointed to that thread, go read it...
If you want to stay downtown, a couple blocks from omalleys is Brownings. It's located in Slugger field. It is a brewery/restaurant that has a kick ass "Bourbon Beer" mmm... wish I could head over for lunch. They have good pub food as well.

Seriously!?   They think someone is going to hijack a plane with a baseball bat?

afraid so... it's sad really. I think I saw that they are giving them out in mailer bags shaped like the bat so you can mail them home.

Been to the Museum and I would HIGHLY recommand it for anyone that is a Baseball fan. It's really cool. The part of the tour where they take you through the factory was really interesting, at least to me.

They also had a cage set up where they were throwing different pitches. They had a 98 MPH Clemmons fastball. WOW it was incredible to watch just how fast that pitch comes at you. You will literly blink and miss it. I think the fastest I was ever to throw a ball would have been in the low 60's.

Shame on the bats. TSA gave us some very strange looks and looked through our stuff when we came back from Disney as we had a giant Potatoe head with assorted piece we bought. They were not going to let us take that through at first.

Are there still tickets available?  How much are tickets?

I was thinking about checking them out - especially since they are playing in a lot smaller venue than originally booked.

Maybe we can meet up?
