This is pretty cool given the state of pro hoops now days. I don't know how many of you remember the Bird v Magic days.....those were the BEST...I'll be watching

I watched the Celtics' game last night...they were lookin' pretty good.  I'm sad there won't be any UNC guys on the rosters, but it'll still be a great game to watch.

Honestly, I haven't watched a game since those days. That's how good they were..IMO.

I agree (well...since Jordan retired...the second time).  But I am interested in seeing this series.  They will be pulling out all the highlight reels from this rivalry for before, between and be-after games!

Celtics in 7!

I pretty much only watch the NBA playoffs, which I must say were pretty entertaining this year. I love the matchup, but the way LA is playing itll be interesting to see how the series plays out bc im not sure if Boston can handle them right now. Boston was 2-0 vs LA however, though Im pretty sure both of those we before they got Gasol

Im a big Kobe fan, so im rootin for LA. And I despise the Pats so I pretty much hope all Boston teams suffer the pain of making it to the final AND LOSING!!! 18-1.....MUAHHHAHAHAHA

Ah-ha, my friend...but don't forget about the Red Sox.  Don't ever forget about the Red Sox.  And if you forget about the Red Sox, you can always look up "Best Team In Baseball" and you will be reminded of the Red Sox. :P

PEACE!

I wish the Bruins could make it to just one final; it's been far too long. I think their time will come however sooner than later. Milan Lucic will carry this Bruins team into the finals in a few years.

However, Red Sox suck! Seriously though, I hate the Sox, but I grew up as a big fan of the Red Sox fan in the 70's. The Devil Rays are looking good, but they've never gone down the stretch trying to win meaningful games against contenders, so I'd be (pleasantly) shocked if they were in contention in September.

i'm not a fan of boston sports fans. i loved hearing what mike bibby had to say, and he was right. But why do all my favorite players go to the teams i hate? KG is the man, hands down. I love the guy. I want to see him win one. i wouldn't mind seeing the lakers win, because i'd like to see kobe win one without shaq. but i'm going for boston and KG.

i also think kevin mchale is the worst front office executive in all of sports. it's a wonder that the last couple trades that he made were with his former team. for real, in all of sports. Matt Millen is better. at least he didn't cost his team 5 first round draft picks.

I really have little interest in this matchup. I don't care for either teams and I'm not leaning one way or the other for a winner. I can respect the history of the matchup, but that isn't enough to make me want to watch these games.

Carl Yastrzemski and Jim Rice are two of my all-time favourites. I pre-date Toronto having a ball-club, so I loved the Sox until the Jays started making some noise back in the early 80's. It took me at least 5 years from the Jays inception (1977) to switch from the Red Sox to the Jays, and since the early 80's, I've been a card-carrying Jays fan. I also loved the Expos but will not cheer for the Nationals.

Definitely going to follow the series... I think Lakers win the series 4-2. I see it in my crystal ball! :P

I didnt forget about the BoSox, they just dont bother me all that much. I just cant stand the Cheatriots and their bullshit tactics and bullshit moves like getting hall of famers for 4th round draft picks. I hate the Yankees, so the Sox dont bother me quite as much. Ive been a Ramirez fan since the Cleveland days too, so that doesnt hurt the cause

18-1.... ;D

Oh yeah, I almost forgot (and I'm a religiously faithful Raptors fan): GO CELTICS... and screw you Kobe!

i'm torn here, on the one hand, i hate kobe bryant and the whole organization---but i've also grown to hate boston sports teams--(i'm a die hard cleveland fan--in any sport) i love it though, the NBA is back and exciting and i, too, remember watching the celtics/lakers rivalry as a kid. i was the BIGGEST larry bird fan---i'm hoping KG takes it this year....although i would have been happy to see detroit in the finals, also. this is going to be a good series this year!

I'm with you.  I hate basically all Boston sports teams (a lot of their fans that I've met didn't help that one either...don't worry MMJfan, you aren't on the list;))

On the other hand, Kobe seems like a premadonna and gets on my nerves, although he is one hell of an athelete.  I guess when it comes down to it, I'm going to pull for Boston just because I'd like to see KG get his first ring.  We shall see.
