Paulie Walnuts

I've been reading Uncut only for about 7 years now.

Is there anything better out there? If so, why is it better?

TheBigChicken

the fruit bats love makin' made all the kids cry

Penny Lane

Q is the best for brit pop

Paste is good and Spin has made a comeback--good indie scene coverage
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

I don't know if these are better, that is largely a matter of taste but I like
The Wire- non mainstream
under the radar- indie
purple sky- j- rock
gramaphone- classical
pati pati- j-pop

MOJO & UNCUT are essential reading every month IMO.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Under the Radar's pretty good.  Relix is another one

brkndwnbus

I've subscribed to Under The Radar for the past 4 years. That's my favorite.

I read Guitar Player and Guitar World from time to time.

I check out Rolling Stone too, mainly for movie reviews. Most of their great music writers left long ago, except for David Fricke.

The DARK

My favorites are Paste, Filter, Spin, and Mojo. In that order.
In another time, in another place, in another face

Paste and Relix...just because

I've not read Paste or Filter but the couple of issues of Spin that I've picked up were wafer thin & full of (non-music) adds, just like Rolling Stone.

MOJO is an invaluable music source every month.

My all-time favourite was Sounds.  I'll still buy NME, Mojo or Q every now and again.

To be honest, I get pretty much all of my music recommendations for free right here.  Cheers you guys!   8-)
The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

Ghosts_on_TV

magnet is pretty good as well.
Some girls mothers are bigger than others girls mothers...

Wednesday was my fav day of the week when I was 16 or so...Sounds, NME & Kerrang! I would go straight to the gig pages & get on the phone for tickets (with Mum & Dad's CC) before I went to school.

Ahhh memories!  :)

I've frankly given up on these but I do check some website occasionally (Paste, Filter, etc.) because I'd rather not clutter up the house with magazines that only have 1 or 2 articles I really want to read
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.
