QuoteLast House on the Left.....it's only a movie....it's only a movie.....

That's a good one. I watched it with my best friend when we were teenagers, when it was over she looked at me all scared and said "Would you pee for me?"

Some other Favorites:

The Changeling
Donnie Darko (not sure if I'd call it a thriller but others are and it's my Fav.)
Rosemary's Baby
Pet Sematary
Alice Sweet Alice
Nosferatu
The Haunting (original)

Cheesier Favorites:

Puppet Master (1 & 4 being the best IMO)
Nightmare on Elm Street
The Lost Boys
Troll

When I was little I loved movies featuring zombies as they used to play them late at night on Sci-Fi all the time.  My favorite was Night of the Living Dead.

I also am a big fan of The Shining.

For fans of Nosteratu, Shadow of The Vampire is an interesting and creepy film that offers a few new wrinkles to the vampire/film-within-a-film genre:

I like all the movies everyone has mentioned (especially The Exorcist, Evil Dead Trilogy, and the Zombie (Rob) films) but here's a couple more:
The Omen (original)
In The Mouth of Madness
Hellraiser

On a side note:  I got to meet Bill Mosely last night at the Rock & Shock Convention.  What an incredibly nice guy he signed my copies of House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects plus all the cds I bought from him (filled out my Cornbugs collection).  This guys is a true horror legend and if this event comes to your town I recommend going.  Also saw William Forsythe there too so I got him to sign Devil's Rejects as well.  Roddy Piper was there too and I almost offered him some bubble gum ;).
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

No love for John Carpenter's Halloween or is it just a given?   :-?

QuoteThe Blair Witch Project (say what you will, but the film has imagination and the ending is disturbing)
I saw this in France before it opened in the US & UK. I'd read (in Empire probably) that this was 'one to watch' from Cannes & went into the movie theater (on the Champs Elysees, no less!) completely blind, long before the hype & backlash...scared the shit out of me! Excellent movie IMO, very clever & very disturbing.

Bubba Ho-Tep is indeed one of my favs!
Did you see the trailer for My Name is Bruce though...ouch!

Love all these lists!  :)

Is this 'Mist' that everyone keeps talking about the one that came out recently with Thomas Jane and looks like it was directed by El Terrible, aka M Night Shamalan?!

Yeah, but it's directed by Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile), so I'd say he has more credibility than Shamalan. Its nothing like his other movies, and its almost like he was trying to do a classic B horror movie and it works.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Is Black Sheep any good?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned 2 of Peter Jackson's earlier no budget/low budget movies, Bad Taste & Brain Dead.

Saw it before, but watched it for the first time in 5+ years on IFC just now, so:

Jeepers Creepers?

I remember watching it the first time, and thinking the first half was great, but the 2nd half was just cheesy

After watching it again, I think pretty much the same, but as a horror movie, the 2nd half really isnt all that  :D when its all said and done

I think it holds up pretty good, and Justin Long keeps it interesting the whole time, so Id probably recommend it to most. Id actually compare it to the movie I started the thread with 'Feast', in that its a horror movie thats not great, but good enough, and it has a comedic side to it that elevates it a bit more.

Thoughts?
