God is a Saints fan, dumb ass. And for God, it ain't about the W's; W's are for mortals.

(but cheering for someone's injury is bush league, you should delete that if you have any class).

I wasnt cheering for it, wasnt hoping for it, wasnt praying for it

But when it happened, I couldnt say I was heartbroken.

Its part of the game. If an injury like that happens to somebody (not some Kevin Everett type shit), I cant say he wouldnt be in my top 10

Fuck you Patriots...I need to get some Patriot toilet paper so I can wipe my ass daily with that shit-eating grin of a logo

No pun intended
um yeah I'd call this GLOATING.

or just overreacting to a game that Pitts won and was supposed to win.  Just saying.

Fact: regardless of cheating or whatever ....18-1.  Sorry had to squeeze that in.

PATRIOTS WERE FAVORED MAN!! Get your facts straight if you want to come in here and act like that.
You're right about 18-1 though.

Yeah and the last time the Eagles played the Giants the Eagles were favored...doesn't mean the Giants still were not supposed to win, lines are for gamblers.

QuoteAnother big win for the Steelers!

That game was  :D :D :D :D

I was pissed we couldnt pound it in at the goalline in the 4th quarter there, but after that it was 10 minutes of great football from the Steelers.

And if yinz all havent heard, James Harrison should be the NFL Defensive MVP. Just another 8 tackle, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble day. Oh, and a called off fumble recovery for a TD

Not only is Silverback all over youre team, but he's all over your team's crazy fans!!

the best thing about that game was that Romo choked once again.  How many big games is this guy going to blow before the entire NFL world stops kissing his A##ss? seriously you would think he was Tom Brady and had 3 superbowls....he's won nothing.

Thanks to Pitts for giving the Giants the NFC East....tough game for the Giants, no excuses the Eagles were desperate and outplayed the Giants in every way.  One of the most fustrating games to watch all year.  Playoffs are coming down to it.
Last Fair Deal Gone Down...

corey

Romo didn't have the greatest game in the world, but it was also his first game without the splint on his finger. It was pretty obvious by the way that some of the throws were sailing that he was having some issues.

It's not like Big Ben "won" the game for the Steelers or anything.

No but look at Romo's track record in big games.   You can't make an excuse about his finger, he's been back for 3 weeks, if It was a problem he wouldn't be in there.  Ben didn't win the game but he also didn't lose it.

The defense won it. Ben was a big part too though, did you see the last couple drives? When the game is on the line Ben always comes through whereas Romo throws INTs.

Hey Everyone, a bit of a new comer to this thread. Been reading but not posting. Big NFL fan!
I like the way your guys are getting after it on here. Some good trash talking! I respect the passion everyone has for their teams. To clear a couple of things up from the last few pages of this Forum.

Fact: The Patriots did go 18-1 last season and beat everyone but the Giants who kicked the snot out of Tom Brady and the Patriots in SB XLII. Tom hadn't spent that much time on his back since Gisele Bundchen tied him to her bed.

Fact: The Giants are 11-2, Pitt is 10-3 and NE is 8-5 in the 2008 season.  The Giants went into Pitt and battled for a tough and hard fought victory against the steelers in week 8. I actually went to the game. Good people, great fans, cool stadium. Thanks for beating Dallas this weekend

Fact: The Patriots lost to the NY Jets this season.  ;D
Wakin up feelin good and limber!

Ruckus

Uhhhh....the Jets revealing themselves as the pretenders I thought they were.  C'mon boys!!!

I found it laughable the announcers kept saying "Oh, its Romo's 1st game without a splint, ooh, the splint must have really been helping him, ahh"  ;D ;D

What a crock. Last time I checked, you remove splints because your appendage is healed, not the other way around. So what, the splint was adding velocity to his passes and making them more accurate?! If that was the case and he said so, Im sure their halftime adjustments wouldve been putting a splint on his hand.

If there is an excuse, it was the weather. The coldest game he ever played in prior to today was 46 degrees (dont remember if he said they won or not). Yesterday was below 10 degrees, and windy. I could tell Romo wasnt used to playing in real football weather when he played in his regular jersey with no longsleeves  ;D

...As for Ben, at the end of the game his stats werent spectacular, but last time I checked the last 3 offensive drives went: turnover on downs @ DAL 2 bc we couldnt punch it in, FG, TD drive that started with under 4 minutes on the clock. I dont know what yinz all's definiteion of "winning" the game his, but Benny was certainly a big factor "winning" the game.

Oh, and he seemed to be able to play in 15 degree weather  :)

Anyone been following the Bill-Dolphins mess that was played yesterday in Toronto?

Some Bills fans worry that their team will eventually leave for far richer and and far bigger Toronto. Ralph Wilson made a deal with the late Ted Rogers (cable giant and Blue Jays owner) to play 5 regular season and three pre-season games in Toronto with money up-front. The catch? Ticket prices are outrageous - top ducat came close to $600 and the average price was in the mid $100 range. Bills fans and Torontonians scoffed at those prices.

Also, the dome was closed, thus giving no home-field advantage to Buffalo (assuming Toronto is a Bills hotbed, which it isn't). Also, the Rogers Centre (formally Sky Dome) holds around 55,000, which doesn't meet the minimum size requirements for the NFL.

Also, the ticket sales were poor, so much so that the game was almost blacked-out. Imagine those poor Bills fans not being able to even watch their game?

Anyway, Rogers gave away thousands of tickets and the NFL didn't want the game blacked-out, so it was televised. It looked like a CFL production. The cameras were tight to the field with few shots of the crowd. Lots of empty seats even though it was "sold-out." The arrogance of Rogers and Wilson backfired on them since they pissed-off Bills fans, pissed-off NFL fans in Toronto that didn't want to pay that much dough for the tickets, but the good thing about all of this is that it didn't hurt the Toronto Argos CFL team and fanbase (which was a worry) since this was all handled terribly. The game stunk too.

The real Bills fanbase in Canada is located 50-75 miles west of Toronto, in cities like Hamilton (they hate Toronto), Kitchener, London, Niagra Falls and even Windsor, where upwards of 3 million folks live. 30-40% of the fans at Bills home games are from those above areas I listed.

I hope the Bills never leave. I like the CFL and NFL co-existing, but if Buffalo moved their team here, I think it would destroy Buffalo and destroy the 100 year-old CFL and damage an important nationalistic tradition, not to mention a fun game to watch.
