I bet the Jets also go after Spagnola if they can't get Cowher.  No way he stays with the Giants, too many openings out there.  Gilbride already got contacted by the Raiders.

I think it's either going to be Shanahan or Spagnola for the Jets, now that Cowher is out.

I didnt want to play Indy next week, so hopefully I dont eat my words on that since were going to play San Diego. Or San Diego most likely, because I cant see Miami beating the Ratbirds.

If that happens, Ill be even happier because well get Miami next week  :)

And damn...this dude is like frickin Speedy Gonzalez on the football field. Im sure theres a dozen or so players in the NFL whose pure straightaway speed is faster, but Id put money down that no one is quicker or more agile than this mofo

QuoteOVERTIME....GO COLTS!!!!!
Good game, bad results. Prob the first game all season I have watched in it's entirety since the intensity kept my interest. (spoiled from watching college ball)

Peter King said on SI.com that Favre is going to retire AGAIN... so I guess this will work out in the Jets favor since a new coach won't be putting up with him next year. After Thomas Jones and the other's were quoted about him this week he has to go. I'm not saying I said back in August that they shouldn't have traded for him, I was for it even though I always liked Chad...If not for Herm Chad would have gotten the Jets to the AFC champ. game with a torn shoulder!
I'm just glad I never got a # 4 Jets jersey like my fellow fans in section 317!

That said Go Ravens...I hate the Fish!

Baltimore's D looked sick as usual, but the offense was unimpressive - and Flacco wasnt pressured at all

Polamalu has some characteristics Ive never seen in a Safety or DB, but Ed Reed is the best ballhawk in the NFL....EVER  [smiley=shocked.gif]

Pittsburgh vs. San Diego.

Who's got this?!?!?

I don't see Pitts having a problems with SD.  They have had a good few games but going into Pitts is a different story.  Their D will pressure Rivers and force some turnovers.

I am pulling hard for the Titans this weekend. As a Steelers fan, I worry more about the chance of playing the Ravens again than the Titans.

Of course, a win this weekend is more important right now. I am 90% sure I'll be there, so I am pumped about that as well.

I know the feeling.  As a Giants fans I was pulling hard for Minn yesterday.  Man they had so many chances.  Down by 2 with the ball at the 50 twice, once with a 1st and 5 with the best RB in football.  Now the Giants play Philly who to me are the Giants of last year.  On a roll and hot.  This is the worst possible matchup for the Giants.  Phillys dink and dump offense fustrates the Giants D.

I dont know man. As much as I dont want to play the Ratbirds a 3rd time - especially after beating them twice already which makes it even harder to beat them - I think Id rather play the Ratbirds.

If we play them, the AFC champ game is in da Burgh. If we play TEN, were playing down there. Id much rather play that game at home, not to mention I expect a TEN team and crowd - that outside of Collins has never been here - to be totally pumped for that game.

I think TEN offense is easily better than Balt, and we know we can limit their scoring. TEN certainly had more ease moving the ball against us than the Ratbirds.

Anything can happen with this year's playoffs. I do not see one team that I can confidently say will make it to the Super Bowl. I'd say the Cardinals and the Chargers are the least favorites, but other than them, I believe the rest all have an equal shot and it will come down to who has the best game(s).

I actually prefer the Steelers playing road games given the past AFC Championship games at home. That was under Cowher when they lost all of those, but I think the Steelers play better on the road.

Totally true that TEN moved the ball far more easily, but I think given a second chance, Pittsburgh can go down there and win. TEN was the better team that game, but I'd like to see them try to do that twice to the Steelers in a month.

Give Baltimore a third chance, and I think that goes badly for Pittsburgh. But beating the Ravens three times in one season would certainly shut up my coworkers. I just get nervous about playing a team three times when the series wasn't split and could easily have been Ravens 2-0.

You already made my answer right there with Cowher

Not to mention, none of those Cowher coached choker teams had a QB like Ben except the last one when Roeth was a rookie

James Harrison wins AP NFL Defensive MVP....congrats to Silverback. One of the leaders on the #1 D in the league, certainly deserving and finally getting the props he should be

Am I the only one who finds that kinda offensive?

Not that I'm some kind of PC cop, because I'm not!  And not that I'm some sort of Steeler-sympathizer, because I'm not!
