Tragic news. I loved Waymon in his Oklahoma days (not so much with 1984's Team USA). I've never heard his jazz, but he looks so happy holding that bass. R.I.P. Waymon.

It's cool that ESPN Classic is showing the 1985 matchup between La. Tech w/the Mailman and Oklahoma.

I'll tell ya, Wayman played a sick bass but all I ever heard was his smoove jazz.

I was thinking the same thing earlier today. However, there are thousands (if not millions) of other people who die his age or a lot younger from similar causes who arent lucky enough to experience such a great life like his, albeit cut short. I have a feeling he may have thought along those same lines, I hope he did at least.
