When an original logo is that good its a really treat to update it.  The concept is there, just needs to be freshened up.

thanks again flyguy, its awfully nice of you!  Even more so I went to your website to get some information for my resume and saw that it was under construction.  It made me so happy/excited to see the updated logo on there.  Really brightened up my shitty week of job hunting! so thank you for doing that too!

AMC have you seen the documentary Helvetica? I havent had the chance to see it yet myself, its still hovering around in my netflix que. Seems like it might be up your alley given your interest in the details of different fonts.

I've been wanting to update our company's business cards. We've been doing a lot of restructuring and I think its the prefect time to do so. The ones we have now are soooo retro. Its an exploding nova over a black background that fades into red, it kind of looks like a butthole, but we dont do colonoscopies so its not cool. Im actually a little embarrassed to hand them out to people, its bad. Maybe if you can come up wit something we like we can throw you a few bucks.
The company is called Video and Security Specialists. We do burglar & fire alarm systems, alarm monitoring, home theaters, structured wiring, access control, CCTV, IP camera systems, that kind of stuff. Let me know if you can come up with something, thanks!

Seriously. I've been tossing around the idea of a Jim James t-shirt. You know the shirts that say "Jesus is my homeboy"? I would love to have one with a very simplistic sketch of Jim but it says: "Jim is my homeboy". I'm not religious, so I could be missing the point of the original shirt. HA!

If that's too fangirl-ish or over the top, then I'll nix the whole idea.

Maybe it'll get your creative juices flowing and you'll come up with a better idea. I would totally pay you for a rad/original t-shirt.

first off, I HAVE seen Helvetica and it fuckin' rocks... I really love it, helps me get inspiration from time to time.

And I would love to help you with your business cards.  If you could, shoot me a PM with your company info, what you want on the card (information wise) and if you have a hi-res copy of the company logo (if you got one) then i can give you my email address so I can use that on the card.  do you guys have a website?
