In 2004 I visited Honolulu to run a marathon; while there we visited a friend of one of my running partners. This salt water pool is part of the development where that guy lived. After I collected myself from spontaneously weeping at the beauty at hand, we rolled a fatty and sat there watching the world. Then all of a sudden this dude who was dressed in a loin cloth with a fricken dagger strapped to his rather handsome thigh climbed up from the ocean side of the pool all Aloha-Tarzanesque style. We just watched.  And watched.  Unphased. He was collecting crabs and stuffing them into a bag attached to his waist. My friend Ruben turned to me and started giggling uncontrollably.  He said: "Dude, only in Hawaii. A naked native dude with a big freaking knife just scales his way into a private salt water pool 15 feet from us and we're totally okay with it."
