Shit I still have 30 years to go and I'm 35. I just don't see myself doing this shit for another 30 years. Where the hell is my lottery ticket. I'm not greedy, just a few million so I can stay home and enjoy being with my kids and wife.

Some months ago my mini-stereo died and I plopped down another $300 for a new one - which wasn't easy to do since there are hardly any on the market because all they sell are Home Theatre Systems that cost a bajillion dollars; or you can buy receivers, turntables, etc., separately and it costs a bunch more than I could afford at one go.  So, now I have a stupid mini-system to which my new turntable, iPod and Sirius system are hooked up (and Sirius by the way doesn't work that well when it's raining and it rains A LOT here).  What a bunch of crap.  My main problem is that these stupid mini-systems don't have an EQ that you can manipulate, only preset crap.  Who sets these levels anyway?  They don't sound good no matter what I play.  Holy cow, I don't need Xtreme bass (nor do I need the backlight to change from orange to red in order for me to understand that the Xtreme bass is turned on). What I need is to be able to hear everything at once, including the vocals...and not muddy, crapped out vocals!  Sorry neighbor John, I don't mean to make the pictures on your wall shimmy.  I just don't want to wear my studio headphones all the fucking time.  Done.

i've had rehearsal every day for the past three months, anyhwere from as long as 3 hours to 6... now it's finally time for performing... two more shows left, but so little energy... then saturday, which is supposed to be my day off, i have the Berklee Jazz Festival at 9 AM...
aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i can't wait for sunday when everything is overrrrrrrrrr.
i guess i don't know if this is a joy or a complaint. right now it seems like a complaint. i can't do this anymoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

i am so drained. took the day off, and now i'm missing three tests and a paper... this next week is going to be rough with make ups...

Where to begin...

I want to jump up onto my desk and kick my computer in it's non-complying face.  
I've had enough of winter.  
The past 3 nights I've basically turned into an insomniac for no particular reason.  
Going to work has become an extreme chore (I skipped Monday, just cause).


This weekend can't come soon enough.

HA! I did the same thing. Every couple of months I just have to stay at home and watch bad movies on tv.  It helps with the mental state.  Yesterday I watched "Once" which was fantastic and I can't believe I didn't see it sooner.  I also watched "The Tao Of Steve", which I've seen before, but I have to confess that I do like it - I kind of think that main guy is hottt.  I also watched waaaay too much CSI, which isn't a problem on its own, but the commercials that run incessantly on TBS or whatever channel it was on are mindnumbing.  All in all though, a good Monday on the couch.

After coming back from a week-long vacation on Monday, I got buried all week at work and missed the Drive By Truckers show on Wednesday night. That one hurt. Oh well, it's a three day weekend now; I'm going to go get a beer and catch up on some Forum stuff, waste away the day. Aaaaahhhhhhh......

This weekend it dawned on me - I'm growing apart from a couple of my close friends.   :-[
