Just got done putting a new battery in my friend's car.  By all means it should not have taken nearly 3 hours but it was conveniently located under all sorts of brackets, a fuse box, and the washer fluid tank.  

Unfortunately this means I haven't slept yet today so we decided to nix our plans to begin recording our EP because apparently its been decided (not by me) that I need more than 3 hours of sleep a day.

I do not sync mine and keep all my tunes stored on an external Hard Drive just because the same thing happened with my 60 gig. Took a while to reload, but nowhere near as long as if I would to have re-ripped everything.

I just saw the most horrible story on BBC about the court case for a mother who allowed her boyfriend & his friend to torture & kill her baby son...how the fuck can people do these things?!!
& what makes it worse is that social services were aware of the boy's case but did nothing to prevent it from happening:

$27.50 and over an hour of driving for a 70 minute Decemberists concert.  

Wow, I spent more time driving to and from the show than the band played.  Maybe thats why I'm so bummed after seeing a really good set.

Played a show last night with a turnout of four people. Two of them had left by the time I was on. Wound up basically playing for the bands that were there. Plus those two other people. Tuesday night gigs at small venues just don't work out, apparently.

Aw man, sorry to hear that.  My band once did a show in Detroit on a Saturday night at an anarchist housing collective (if that makes any sense).  The house was full of people when we got there and we ended up playing for two of the guys in one of the other bands.  We often played for only a few people despite our best efforts to get people out to our shows.  No wonder half our band stopped showing up most of the time.
