Cheers guys, it's a french song by a female artist so I don't know the lyrics.
I thought it was maybe Jane Birkin but I'm not so sure now.

Still, sometimes these things do have an upside, whilst trying to find out who sings the original song in question I discovered the amazing (& very beautiful!) Franciose Hardy who I am now very much in love with!

I guess clouds do sometimes have a silver linning  :)

here's a complaint though: googling the lyrics won't work for me because one of the songs is an instrumental and the other I can't remember the first word.
