QuoteHaving to fucking work today. I'm in a "I just don't give a flying fuck" mood today. Hell, hardly anyone is here, I feel like crap, tired, and want to play on my guitar. Tis gonna be a looooooooong day.

i agree. my co-workers don't really want to hear about the show, either! lol...at least the trains were empty this morning. at least it's friday and not monday!

Highway was pretty empty this AM. Flew in doing 80 with Oko playing load.  :o

The highway into Boston was super empty too this morning. Which was good because I woke up about 15 min late, and yet I made it to work early.  Traffic Hell will return on Monday I'm sure.

The intense pain from the shingles I have!  OMG this is worse than childbirth.

my right ear is being weird and it's got me quite scared.  when i awoke yesterday i first noticed it and it hasn't gone away yet.  it's not an after-concert ring or an earache, and it's not painful, but it's like it's ringing without the ring though.  or something.  cotton ball in the ear and no listening to music has me bummed out.

May be tinnitus. Got it from a RHCP concert several years ago and have protected my ears ever since. Is it like a clicking or popping?

judging by what webmd tells me, it sounds plausible.  it seems to have gone down a little today, here's hoping it's gone for good (or just a buildup of earwax!) asap.

thanks!  and i'll let you know how things go.

there's been ridiculous pressure in my ear all evening.  i have to kinda jiggle my finger in it every thirty or seconds or so to release it.  i'm afraid it's ménière's because i had quite a lot of caffeine at work today and my first glass of wine in a long time tonight and as it stands right now, this is the most discomfort i've experienced in the five or so days my ear's been bothering me.

i'll sleep when i'm dead, indeed.  that's totally been my mantra for the past few days.

you gettin the vertigo business, though? now that I read the description, I knew someone with that business and it sucked mightily, but the vertigo is essential to being diagnosed, I think. Was there anything you did the day before this came on that might have some sort of role in it?

not exactly vertigo, but i did have a little bout of dizziness a few hours ago.  i currently have a small ball of cotton in my ear right now and the fluctuating pressure is seemingly under control.  i'm extremely curious as to what tomorrow will bring.

i was at a concert a few days before this sprung up and another evening i walked home when it was damn cold.  the concert wasn't loud and that walk home was a few days before this came out of nowhere, so yeah.  here's hoping this prescription kicks in (i just started it today) and cures what's ailing me.

(can you do some beard-voodoo for me?)

Somehow I missed the first message about Crazylove.  I'm so sorry to hear that.  Sending good vibes your way and hoping for a speedy recovery.  I've never had the shingles or birthed a child but neither sound like much fun.  :-*

Ouch!!!!   My grandpa dealt with shingles a few years back.  For about a year, it looked like he had a stroke - the left side of his face was basically unresponsive.  Luckily, he has recovered from all that.

Definitely sending healing vibes that way~   >:( :D :) ::) :P :-[
