the best buy near me doesnt have the deer tick, delta spirit, or blitzen trapper albums at the store. well, the DT and DS albums are both like $13 so I wouldnt buy them there anyway probably, but still  >:(

If I wasnt poor and owed a ton of student loans, I would do that more often. I actually did end up buying the Delta Spirit album at a local buy/sell/trade store, even though it was $13. Ended up kind of working out since I found a used copy of the Ben Sollee & DMM album for $6

We had to put our dog fluffy down a couple years ago and it was a really depressing time.  They grow on you so much.  Fluffy was a grouch to people but a sweetheart to the family, he had a stroke or something though.  I was tripping on mushrooms doing the robot to a beck song, I think it was nicotine and gravy, I can't remember.  either way my funky dance moves made my half blind, deaf, gimp legged dog FREAK out.  

keep in mind fluff didn't do much of anything for months before this, he was old and slept all the time.  anyway, I went in the bedroom because he took off, he was shaking and acting so weird.  after that he wasn't the same.  the glimmer in his eye was gone and it might have been my fault.   :'(  maybe if I wouldn't have danced so funky he wouldn't of had the stroke.  I'll miss fluffy.  He was the first dog I had that I got to be there for it's entire existence.  My first dog was Eb, a Chow Chow, black.  Bad Ass dog.  I used to ride that shit around like a horse, I've got video to prove it bitch.  he was a great dog.  

His demise eventually came and I can't help but feel responsible for that as well.  Eb, short for Ebony, my milk chocolate lover, protected me from our neighbor.  she was all petting him and did something towards me (not really sure I was like 3) and he almost bit her knee off.  The neighbors sued us and we had to put him down.  The day after Eb bit her she was out riding her bike in front of our house.  I will never forget that cunt ass family.  Putting Eb down was my exposure to the idea of God if I remember.  I asked my dad where Eb was going and he said "he's going to see God", and I was all "Can I come and see God" I don't remember the rest, just a huge chain on Eb's neck as my dad took him to get the shot.  

Now I've got Roxy, my little fatso cutie butt.  She kicks ass and if we wouldn't have adopted her she'd probably be dead.  She's one of the greatest dogs ever.  You need to get a puppy asap.  1.) they're cute as fuck, 2.) they love you, 3.) you save their lives when you adopt them.  It may be too soon, this I can understand.  Dogs are amazing animals, what were the circumstances of your young beast?  old age?  sick?

I too feel for you BC!  

I've got a 12 year old springer mix and he's also been my first dog I've owned since he was a puppy.  His name is Reilly and even though he's an old grouch nowadays, I will still miss the shit out of him when he passes.

We have chosen to go the preventitive way so that when Reilly passes, it won't be so hard on my kids, so 2 years ago we got Bella.  She's a lab/newfie mix and she is awesome!  And then a year later, we found a chocolate lab dodging cars on a major state highway close to my house.  We pulled over and called him and he jumped right into my truck and the rest is history.  Turns out he's about the same age as Bella!  I told my wife I didn't want to name him some cliche reference to something brown or chocolate.  But with 3 girls, I guess that wasn't happening as they almost immediately and unamimously chose to name him Cocoa no matter how I tried to persuade them otherwise!  So Cocoa it was!   ;D

At least having our labs now will curve our grief a bit when the time comes for Reilly to go to a better place.
