Quotehave to have a more extensive biopsy. like, i have to be put under for it. weak. weak. weak.
:(

Best of luck. I'll be sending you positive thoughts.

However, I wish I have positive thoughts for me right right now. I'm prepping for a colonoscopy - I go under the invasive camera tomorrow at noon. I'm terrified, although I've had one before. The stuff I have to drink right now makes me yearn for warm Bud and/or Old Milwaulkee. I'd even drink a Blue Light.

Sending good vibes to both of you.

Not usually a complainer, but feeling particularly challenged by the atmosphere at my job today.  it's never the work, it's the people i work with who cause me stress.....and especially when you have a dual relationship -- coworker/friend -- makes it tougher sometimes than if you just had no relationship other than coworker.
I am also quite sensitive, but I just think that people can be so f'ing nasty sometimes.....I need to not sink to this level, but some days are tougher than others.
k-thanks.  i will stop complaining now :)

Quotesome days are tougher than others.

This is the truth.  Coworker/friends can be very tricky sometimes.

Hang in there, lady.  Tomorrow's a new day.

I try to be an honest woman, but can you blame an outside factor and get yourself out of it? Guilt is for the birds (raised Catholic, currently in recovery.)

I was raised Catholic, too and the guilt is hard to shake. Argh...

Life is too short for regrets.  Be honest, but do what you want to do.  People will get over it faster than you think.

Do we need a support group here?  It's all good Ky.  We were drunk when we made those plans.

Hahahahahahaha. We obviously need a "recovering Catholic" support group and/or thread.

I don't know who else to discuss this with save from my fiancee but I just got a call that I didn't get a job I was really counting on...I don't want pity from this as I currently am in a job which I love (albeit low-paying). I am a clinical therapist with a license in clinical social work at a community mental health center. However, the job I would have gotten (came down to myself 27 yrs old and a 42 yr old with 17 years experience) would have been a dream job as a clinician for a state-run mental health facility and would have been a 20 grand pay increase which is something I really could have used right now. Kind of a punch to the gut. :-/

Hey wolof7, sorry to hear that you didn't get the job!  I know how hard that is...never feels good to not be picked for something.  As you know turnover is high in some of these facilities, so hopefully something better will come along.
On a personal note, I am a licensed therapist as well, working within a cmhc framework, but at a university. Have you ever thought about exploring that area? the benefits and pay are much better than community settings, and there tends to be a lot more room for growth.
where do you live? i am in jersey, at umdnj-robert wood johnson medical school in the dept of psychiatry.  i do clinical trials and stuff like that.
keep doing the work that you love, because many people don't get to say that, and hopefully the rewards and money will follow.....soon!

Came up to NY to visit mom for Christmas. I was suppose to leave Tuesday (stand-by) to Colorado & spend NYE with my wonderful wife. Now I'm lucky if I can get there Friday before midnight :'(. Silver lining, I should be able to scalp a ticket to the sold out Phish show Thursday. There should be a few tickets available now because of all this damn snow :o.

My part time(second job) is in a supermarket deli....it is sooooooo filthy it's embarrassing....one person can only do so much. The other people there don't care and I'm afraid someone is going to get sick from cross contamination . I always seem to have a knack for finding the crappy job....i wonder if MMJ is looking for any "roadies" ::)

that would be awesome if they'd pick you up as a roadie! but until then, keep your chin up and  stay focused on the righteous path...you reap what you sew and you work damn hard, so good things are coming your way. 2010 was a good year for you-- you married your lady, right?! hang in there, BC!!
