JYAC--DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS---good luck to your back recovery

I know it's not a complaint but today is the day bluesky is leaving NYC and heading westward. She has become one of my closest NYC friends and concert buddies. I'm really going to miss her but I wish her the best of luck out there. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere! (for some odd reason i want to break into Laverne and Shirley's Shameezle Shamozzle-hosenfeffer corporated...we gonna do ittttttt) SAFE TRAVELS, my friend.

Buddy back home in IA OD'd on heroin.  I just thought he smoked weed, never knew he was into that stuff.  I guess there has been a rash of deadly heroin in the area for the last few months.  He had two kids.  He was more of a friend of a friend, but I hung out with him a fair amount several years ago.  Sad  :'(
We could.

Thanks for the "get well soon" messages, everyone.  Day 3 a little better, but just took my last leftover percocet, so...  :-\

Movin' Away... sorry we're losing Bluesky to the left coast, but sure we'll cross paths again.  Best of luck.  Send me your address.

Very sorry for your news, Hawk.  Take care.

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Going to miss seeing you, and your always smiling face Val.  Safe travels out west, and I hope everything goes well for you.  :-*

I'm sure we'll cross paths at a show again sometime, and I'll definitely pack my "Jerry" shirt for the occasion. ;)

"Where's Jim going?"

NYC will not be as sunny and bright w/o Bluesky.

We will really miss you hear Val.  For the concerts, the drinks, the dinners, conversations, laughter, tears and all of the good times -- well, I look forward to the next time I get to receive one of your award-winning hugs.

To the friend who first introduced me to others here on this wonderful forum, I want to say that my time in NYC has been vastly improved by having you here.

Safe travels my friend.  We will meet again soon.

Complaint #1 - Have to drive 3 hrs. south to Fresno on Sunday (my day off) and stay the night at a crappy hotel so that I can be at court bright and early on Monday in order to spend the day testifying for a trial - then I get to drive 3 hours back home - IF I am lucky.  I've been told the testimony could carry over to Tuesday.  Monday is my birthday.   >:(

Complaint #2 - my cable box took a header and had to be replaced so I lost everything on my DVR - so many ACL shows: both MMJ, Avetts, Monsters of Folk, Tom Waits circa 1978 and then some other really good Conan music performances, tons of Grace Potter, SNL MMJ, etc.   :(

First world problems, I know, but it still sucks.

I am particularly cranky today.  I had to spend an afternoon with my husband's ex wife this weekend, for my stepdaughter's bridal shower.  It was a total drag.  She is an attention seeking drama queen, and for the most part I can totally handle it, but it just got to me this weekend.  My stepdaughter is getting married in Cancun in April, so we are all going there, and basically I am going to be on VACATION with her too.  It's bad enough to spend a couple of hours.  I mean, we did upgrade ourselves to a different building, so hopefully the contact will be minimal, but seriously.  I am having a tough time seeing the glass half full today.  Just steamin' around like an old crankpot.
Thanks for letting me share.   >:(

Awe. Sorry, Trish! You need to make it out on WED and we'll let you vent in person!...! (vacation should be a time to get AWAY from family...I never understood that)  Hang in there!

Thanks girl! I am definitely going to try for it!  And just to be clear, it's really just the ex wife that will be a nightmare......the stepdaughters are pretty cool, and I have a very decent relationship with them. It's just when the ex is around, all the dynamics change.

I hate my job so much right now. So I get massively chewed out by a VP because someone I work with didn't like the answer I gave to a question and the fact that I gave the answer and turned around and went back to work. She felt I was belittleing her because I gave my answer quick and didn't further engage in any converstation. So that warrents me getting an ass chewing of epic proportion?! Fuck you. I hate that fucking job and want out so bad.

I just looked at the email receipt from the Wise Man MMJ t-shirt I bought last night on the store and saw that I paid $13 to ship a $25 shirt (cheapest option).  That shit is fucking ridiculous.
