Petty complaint coming, but many of you will appreciate this...

Our washing machine of 10 years broke about 4 weeks ago.  Called Sears at Home repair service.  The best they could do was come 4 days later.  I took a half day off from work to be here for the guy.  He called to say he was on his way and asked what happened.  I described the problem and he said, "Well, I can come and have to charge you $75 to tell you it'll likely cost $600 to fix, or we can cancel this repair order, save you the $75, and you can start looking for a new one."  Fair enough, 10 years is a pretty good run, appreciate the honesty, don't bother coming.  Time to do some research (after all, I've taken a half day off from work, right?).

Settle on a nice front loader, well reviewed and tested, and ON SALE.  None in the local stores, but can have it delivered, plus haul the old one away!  Sounds good.  So, I order online AND save an additional 10% using the good ole Sears Master Card!  Yay, me!  Order placed April 10, delivery scheduled for April 20.  No big deal, we can handle the laundromat for 2 weeks...  (recall, we have 3 young kids, girls who like to change outfits at least twice daily)

Robo call from Sears the afternoon of April 19.. "Your delivery of..... has been delayed.  Please call..."  So now, delivery is gonna be April 27 (the good news is, April 27th is tomorrow and this week is my spring break, so I'm already home).

I got a call about 2 hours ago, an automated call, from Sears.  "Your delivery of..... has been delayed.  Please call..."  Motherfucker!  Those of you who know me would, I think, agree that I come across as a pleasant soul, but I lost it on 4 different poor bastards working customer service at Sears.  Selling me an item they don't possess!  Cocksuckers!  "We're experiencing a manufacturing delay."  What?!?  You sold us a $1000 item that hasn't been built yet?  AAahflsfhsfhsdfhsdfsfsaff fuckityfuckfuckfuck!!!!

So, now, remaining options will require cancelling the order, renting a truck, and buying what ever the hell some local store has in stock; waiting for the next available delivery from a local store, which is fucking May 4!!!  or going postal.  In the meantime, our current order remains in place and, for our troubles, we're receiveing $75... wait for it... patience... in the form of... you know it... a Sears gift card!!!!

Do they still sell guns? (just kidding)

If you plan on the 'going postal' option, please pre-appoint some worthy soul to carry on your ambassador-like message board vibes...an admittedly selfish but probably universally shared sentiment.  Also, you can't listen to that wonderful vinyl collection in jail, so.... ::)

I've calmed down.  Back to more important news.  What's in store for us on Monday?  Roll Call 2.0 is upon us...

To be fair it isn't just TM, they're an easy target yes, but they certainly aren't the only ones doing this shit. Front Gate Tickets charged me $6 on a $15 ticket!

not enough time for the music that i enjoy playing, too much school work for little return in which i mean my class readings are not relevant for what i plan to do with my degree and the teacher is over loading us with about two hundred pages of reading and its a two hundred level class.  My four hundred level classes are easier and more fulfilling.  and my lack of ambition has given me a huge gut that is weighing me down but i'm twenty pounds lighter since thanksgiving so that is a start.  also a shout out to Teo who lost a dog, i hope he/she makes it home to you.
Can you keep it simple? Can you let the snare crack? Can you let it move without holding back?

Missed this when you posted it, but obviously didnt make it to any of the holiday shows. Had (well, still have) absolutely no money since I was just graduating. Considering next NYE and future ones I will finally have money, its gonna be difficult to decide if I go for the Jacket or Phish's run!!!

Yeah, I got my Gary Clark Jr ticket a couple months back from Ticketfly and ticket was $25 and surcharges like $11 or $12. Absurd. There should be a maximum percentage of the actual ticket cost that is the limit for ticketing fees. 15% sounds reasonable. Get this through congress Obama!

My advice to you is to give it as much effort as you can, because you never know when you might have to go back to school for something else. If my GPA from my first degree sucked, I wouldve had no chance to get accepted in programs for my 2nd degree.
