not speaking for face, but i think this post is part of the problem.  you think it's silly, but obviously she doesn't, and that's why she left.  do you have some magical powers to gauge the seriousness of people's problems?  i'm sure i'm not the only one who thinks most of your "complaints" or "problems" are bogus and petty, but no one has ever called you out on them.  (well maybe now i have.)  we all react to situations and events in different ways.  maybe this big spoon problem face had was too overwhelming, and she needs time to re-energise.

I've never shot down anyone for their current complaint - you can try sticking up for face by attempting to take me down a notch to call my "complaints" bogus and petty, but my "Current Joys" are probably of the same caliber - bottom line is, I don't give a shit what you think about the quality of my posts, and I won't delete myself on account of one asshole sharking around and trying to pick a fight.

My comment that you quoted doesn't even MENTION her complaint to begin with. I only said it was silly for her to delete herself and make out as if it were on account of Dylan's comment - I felt like that was a bogus excuse, and that it was a bit unfair to Dylan.

Matter of fact, after you informed her of my response, she sent me a note saying that she didn't mean to single anyone out, but that she's been going through alot of junk and isn't able to contribute much to the Jacket talk, so she's left for the time being. I felt that was basically confirming what I said - that it wasn't about Dylan's comment.

Irregardless, I obviously made my comment AFTER Face deleted herself... So the fact that you would come after me as if I'm responsible in any way for her leaving is total bullshit to begin with.

This forum is starting to run out of steam

While I've privately thought that for some time, that's just my opinion and not what others obviously think.  We've come a long, LONG way since 2002.  In FIVE FUCKING YEARS, a lot has been discussed.  Rumors spread and/or quashed.  Parties have met and exchanged the love.  Just think, Face was 10 when we started out this journey.  Har har.

There's just so much that can be discussed in a forum like this-but everyone is different insofar as their level of tolerance for the level of discussions going on.  Maybe it's me, maybe it's everyone, maybe it's somewhere in between.

All messageboards go through this.  It's not an MMJ thing or music thing, but a messageboard thing.  I've seen it happen time and time again.  I used to just lurk for the last, oh two years or so on here as I felt like I had run out of things to say.  Sounds impossible...but true.  But like all habits, since I've been doing this so long, it seems odd to stop, and I miss some of the conversations that we used to have.  Put it this way-the board is like an old pair of shoes, comfortable-but they need polished every once and a while.  Taking a break is a huge way of finding other things to talk about.

Not to mention that I've got a job and a daughter and frankly, it's been hard to find time to post about the Gorton's Fisherman or how my cat's breath smells like cat food.  Maybe it's just a lack of inspiration at this juncture.  

I loved reading face's posts just as everyone did, but maybe since she's 15 she needs space-or not.  Dunno.  If you read this, come on back.

I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but maybe I'm running out of steam too.  At least for the day.

People who use the word irregardless. The origin of irregardless is not known for certain, but the consensus among references is that it is a portmanteau of irrespective and regardless, both of which are commonly accepted standard English words. By blending these words, an illogical word is created. "Since the prefix ir- means 'not' (as it does with irrespective), and the suffix -less means 'without,' irregardless is a double negative.

I just watched an extended promo/commercial for the search for the next Pussycat Dolls member.

FUCK!!! I really am sick of the current pop culture landscape. Do we really need a show to select a new member for such a superficial, crappy band? Man I am so tired of bands that are ALL image. Where's the sbstance, where's something for me to sink my teeth into. Crikey, the old I get, the more of a music snob I am turning into. I feel like the guys from "High Fidelity". where is the phone I want to hit Tim Robbins in the face too.

Oh and what the fuck is the deal with all these shows and you having the contestants live together? I hate the fake drama bullshit of "ohhh she said this or did this in the house". uggg

i have been wrestling with a print job all night and can't get the monitor calibrated to sync with the printer. thought i'd be done by 6, haven't eaten since breakfast. i waste more time with high end technology these days. seems that good old chemical photo developing is more efficient and definitely more fun. and of course these prints that are coming out horribly are supposed to be framed and in a show on Monday.

okay here's my issue. I am completely astounded and aggravated by what i call "The Disappearance of the Female Sleeve." Apparently, the fashion industry has determined that women don't really need sleeves on their t-shirts anymore. they just sew on this piddly excuse for a sleeve and expect us to be appreciative. seriously, it's like 3 square inches of cloth and we're supposed to drop some dollars for that. well guess what. i bought men's shirts today and i'm sticking to my guns until women's t-shirts have REAL sleeves once again. it shall by my life's battle. fin.

I hear you on this one. The capped sleeve was an OK invention until it kept getting smaller and smaller. It has given me a total complex about my arms that was nonexistent with regular tees. And a lot of them are so tight-fitting they cut off circulation.

all i have to say right now is FUCK EPSON and all their stupid fancy printers and paper. i have been wrestling with the same four prints for two days and nights now and they all look like crap.  :'( >:(if i had a gun or an ax, i would for real destroy this printer. but, i'd probably be arrested as it's the property of my work.
