aMd, I am not trying to fuck with you and I am sorry (seriously) you had a bad day; I had teachers growing up who thought I sucked and it hurt (and I acted out to show them I didn't care, when I really did).

I just can't stand adults who put young people down.

Do I take this shit too far and try to push buttons? Yes, I do. But the bottom line is to think outside the box and look at the world from the kid's perspective and not the empowered adult. If you think this kid is bad, then he will be bad. Pull something (anything) positive from him or he controls you and your classroom.

this would be a different conversation in person. I'm really not a dick (well...) and I get very passionate about certain stuff.

You got some huge issues pal and I hope you don't physically assault someone and lose your teaching gig. You really seem like you have some anger issues and can't handle criticism. Good luck man.

I am all for trying to help people overcome their difficulties and applaud those that do help like both of you guys, especially young people that still have much hope.    All I'm saying is that my current complaint is that there will always be an asshole that screws shit up for the rest of us.   For example.  Everybody pays more for things becuase of others that cheat and steal and care about nothing but themselves. Can't I complain about this in the "current complaint" thread without being called an elitist?  Jeeesh.

Next time someone fucks me over, I'll be sure and just smile and feel bad that their parents never loved them.

you openly admit that you want to push peoples buttons and take shit too far. and when they get mad, you act all surprised. you dug way to much into AMD's original message. and you criticized him for what?, not liking a student, he didn't tell the student that. he told us that. and it sounds like that student is an asshole. i'm saying that.

I think both tracy and amd are both guilty of pushing buttons at times. But i'm leaning towards amd's side i suppose :-/ I wouldn't want to deal with that brat.

look, tracy and i have had more (in terms of quantity and content) harsh words than anyone other two people here.  he does like to push buttons, but looking back on everything, i think his main intent in the matter to make the other person to look at things in a different way.  tracy does seem to come off in attack mode, but you have to realise arguments like these only arise when the emotions are at a high level.  i've personally thought tracy to be the biggest dick ever, but i've also met him in person (albeit only for a few minutes), and i don't get the sense he's that way at all.
