I was supposed to go to an eventing competition (dressage, showjumping, cross-country) yesterday but it was rained out. We'd all been practicing for weeks.

Problem solved, Tater! I would suggest generously apply some Gold Bond, though. Sans GB could lead to a chaffing problem, which would be a whole other level of problem.
Homer no function beer well without.

Sorry about your balzac, Tater.

Thanks for the advise,  but that gizmo looks like I need to take a class to learn how to put it on.  All kinds if straps and such.  That back strap might be a little hard to negotiate.
I think I'll stick with the " Casual Pouch" on days when I should be wearing underwear.  Everyday is usaully free ball friday for me.

Didn't Petty sing "Now I'm free! Free ballin'"?

Actually I'm not white or rich for that matter. I don't own horses or ride at fancy stables. It was just disappointing to not be able to do something I was looking forward to. I'm sure you understand that.

A former boss of mine would take me to lunch and tell me it was fine if I drank with lunch.  I knew him well enough to know he wasn't testing me but I still turned down the chance every time.  More bosses should be like Norm!  (Yes that was his name. )

Invited my friend to a baseball game tonight on the condition he buy me a night of drinks while at the game in exchange for the (very sweet) tickets. He got denied entry at the door because he tried to sneak in booze and now refuses to pay up for the ticket. I'm out $90. Fuckin' asshole.

It seems like every Friday lately one of my co-workers asks me if I'm getting hammered this weekend... if I was, I wouldn't be announcing it to the whole office, I try to keep a certain level of professionalism in the office, even if I'm the furtherest from it.

I think I truly enjoy his vacations more than he does....

Atlanta traffic. Now that school is back in it's impossible to get anywhere. I cried a little bit the other day on my commute home.

Interesting, and I'm sorry to hear about this. I hate traffic (one of the big reasons why I live in Toronto's east-end core and bike or take the streetcar to work). I watched a news feature a few weeks back on the CBC evening news that linked rising unemployment numbers with urban/suburban sprawl, traffic congestion and inadequate transit options (in under-utilized neighbourhoods). Transit is the key, but the story pointed out that Atlanta's huge sprawl and lack of the municipal government in getting a  feasible transit option off the ground put your city at top of the list.

lpkell2145

Jaimoe, the public transit system in Atlanta is pretty much non-existent. I grew up in NE Ohio and we had transit everywhere and those metro areas were a lot smaller than Atl. However, I am a suburbanite and a transplant so essentially I'm part of the problem. Still the local municipal decision makers have some of the worst city planning skills I've ever seen. Okay, I'm done complaining..all smiles here :D

That's what the news story more or less indicated. Also that sprawl creates high unemployment since it isolates neighbourhoods and thus people have a tough time even looking for jobs let alone getting around. Atlanta was cited as the worst sprawl city in North America, and this includes Mexico City.
