Well, I can't really complain about where the Tribe is at the moment.  After a shaky start at home including watching Perez blow a 3 run lead in the 9th to lose the home opener and then going on to lose 3 of their next 4 at home, to see them at 6-5 right now has me pretty happy.  Still don't see anyone from the AL Central hanging with the Tiggers but as long as the Indians are competitive with the payroll they have, I'll be happy.

Now the Cubs on the other hand...  Lets see, they have no pitching to go along with no hitting.  It's going to be a looooooooong season for the northsiders.   :(

Every day that goes by that the O's remain in 1st is a day worth celebrating.  We have the bats and the bullpen to compete.  Can the starting pitching hold up?  Dylan Bundy and Manny Machado in the wings.....As for the Cubbies....I'm just waiting for my Theo Epstein jersey to show up in the mail.

As for the four letter network's continued bush league coverage of 'baseball', I don't give a shit about Bobby V and Youk and yada yada.  Neither do any real fans of baseball.  I'll stick to my sabermetrics and baseball analytics.

Is it really possible to be 7 games out in April?    They may need to change their name to the CUBM.    (Completely Useless By May)
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Thank god the NHL playoffs have been going on and served as a distraction to this terrible season the Phils seem to be having. Last place, five games back, the Nats in first, 2nd to last in runs scored, 2nd to last in OPS, 28th in HRs. I don't even recognize this team anymore.

But at least you have Doc to kill any chance of a 5-game slide. He's still my favourite ball player and athlete. Man, if he pitched with the Jays right now we'd be even more in the thick of it. I think TB is the team to beat in the East.

The sad thing is that (just like last year) he's got to be nearly perfect in order for the Phils to pull out a win, and even then its only by 1 or 2 runs. Cole Hamels had a great year last year, but his record doesn't show it because of our lack of offense.

Tight games don't bother Doc. They are probably the reason why he's so great and competetive. He got spotty to little run-support in Toronto for most of his 11 years here. He's a throwback hurler that can go 9 game-after-game.

And now it's 5 and shrinking BH ;D

4 way tie atop the AL East!  When was the last time there was an important Jays/O's series?  Just so happy to see the O's competing 17 games into the season.  Their 1st round pick, Dylan Bundy, has yet to give up a run or hit in 13 innings in Single A this year with 21 K's.  I hope they start challenging him at a higher level soon.  When you're that good, I don't see the point in keeping them so low.

Proud day to be a fan of Japanese baseball yesterday.  What a matchup between Darvish and Kuroda against arguably the two best offenses in baseball.  I got so sick of hearing about Japanese busts and all pitchers just being lumped together with Kei Igawa, Daisuke, and Irabu.  I realize their price tags bring attention but the posting system is not the players' fault and no one ever discussed the additional revenue they bring to their respective teams.  Let's not forget Nomo, Sasaki, Hasegawa and now Kuroda.

I just wanted to say that I am an Orioles fan, have been since 79', and I can't remember ever being as happy about baseball as I am right now (well, maybe when Ripken caught the final out in 83', but that was too long ago to really 'remember').

Anyway, go O's...

After losing Kakes last night, we gotta get this game today Ruckus.  Feeling like maybe I jinxed them by even posting that a couple days ago.  Not feeling as great about our chances without Markakis, but it's been a weird season anyway, and who knows who might step up.  Orioles magic indeed.

Enjoy the game, hoping for a good one from Britton today.

That's the thing.  Losing Markakis should be devastating and yet the way this season has gone, I get the feeling someone else will step up.  Curious about today's lineup after Buck got away with resting Wieters and starting Tolleson at DH last night.

Britton has been something special as of late.

Yikes, think we jinxed em', better we stay off of this thread and you stay away from the ballpark...

I'm going to wait two weeks before I say anything about the Giants or Dodgers, because I don't want to jinx anything.  :lipsrsealed:

gotta love the O's 1992 throwback pricing for weekday games to end the season.  sadly even with their season, the park has not been filling up for matchups with the likes of the Rays, White Sox, Jays etc.

Just snagged a bunch of lower level club seats down the left field line for 9 bucks a pop for next Monday that are good for both games of the doubleheader against the Jays
