QuoteMe and my better half at the Cubs game saturday.  One of my vendors invited us to a game on one of the rooftops.  Notice I wore my White Sox hat and I shaved off me beard.   I feel totally naked without it.

nice pic! you do look different without the beard, but way to represent the southside!

Jenny-You and you friend are adorable. And I'm jealous, wherever you were camping looked great. Trees, looks like some rolling hills, and misty mountains/hills in the back.

Seriously though.......

I think you are one of the most interesting people on this forum.....much more so than Tracy (and, obviously, that means you are pretty fucking interesting.)  Actually, and honestly, Tracy and I have talked about how we see you going on to do some amazing things.  You are a lantern...don't let them ever kill your light......

Just back from France after a week with friends at my inlaws' cottage.  It was lovely - the fields around the house were full of sunflowers:

I also arranged for us to have movie nights.  I "borrowed" the lcd projector from work seeing as I had to take my laptop to keep up with emails: we projected the DVDs onto the side of the cottage.  Friday night was Big Lebowski night.  I drank too much Cognac, but we had a blast:

WOW Mark, that sounds like a great trip. Were you in Provence? I could use a couple weeks down there...

We were in the Charente, just south of Angouleme.  It was melon season.  If it's possible to overdose on melons and red wine, I might well be in trouble...

I wasn't quite sure where that is, checked it out on the map...I don't think there's a better place in the world to od on red wine and melons than just up the road from Bordeaux. Yes. I'm jealous.  :)

Damn Mark! I'm seriously jealous. No you cannot od on melons and red wine in my opinion. That pictures of the sunflowers is just gorgous.

There's nothing I'd like to do more than host a French Jacketfest at the cottage for all us wine-loving board members.   As long as the numbers didn't exceed six, we'd be fine as far as beds went.  Proximity to Bordeaux ensures nice wine and weather.  Having Cognac 40 miles up the road doesn't hurt either!  ;D

French Jacketfest...I think you're on to something here Mark. I have a feeling you'd have more than 6 beds worth of takers. I don't need a bed though, I'll pass out in that field of sunflowers if I need to.
