That statement is such bullshit I don't even know where to begin. Emo and Tool should not be mentioned in the same sentence. 311 is one of my favorite bands. I certainly wasn't "popular" in high school but anyway I'm 25 years old now so what the fuck does that have to do with anything anymore. I happen to like reggae music and its a big influence on 311 and I just like that style of music. 311 are about positivity which apparantly you know nothing about or you wouldn't bash either of these bands. Are you bashing people who smoke weed too? Cause thats just silly. Most great music is made while high on something.

thats a crazy thing to say, basically you are saying every positive person must like 311 because 'that is what theyre all about'? im confused there, i said i hate their music not their ideals. and i dont smoke weed anymore but to say drugs are a big factor in music making is whats silly. i mean cmon are we 15 again? ive heard this before, just ignore drug use, its a cheap way for artists to try and exploit their art. just take the music for what it is not 'man that guy mustve been lit as fuck when he wrote that!!!! yeah hoooooooooray, pass the bong mon'!!" nah fuck that. go listen to phish or something.

I didn't say you have to like them but I don't see any reasons to hate them. I know that not all good music is made on drugs but I think its a fact, not an opinion, that a lot of it is. If you're trying to say that I'm stereotyping than you did it first with this statement:
