I'm hoping for a successful scavenger hunt on my visit to Binneys in 2 weeks.

I've heard nothing but great things about that place, next time I'm in Chi it will be my first stop.

Binney is bad ass. It's a required trip every to I get to Chicago.

Yeah I know I'm lucky here in MD.  Even though they raised the booze tax two years ago (I think), except for certain breweries such as Stone, all our sixers are about $7.49-$9.99.  I tend to keep most of my sixers local as well.

Which Binney's do you go to Mike?  Used to live right next to one when my folks lived in west suburban Chi?

In other happy news that was announced about a month ago, my favorite restaurant here is partnering with one of my favorite local breweries for what I can only imagine to be a super creative gastropub.  Can't wait for its opening!

Ruckus...which brewery?  Heavy Seas?

Lakeview (It's the one shaped like a castle on Clark St).

I love Stillwater!  Their beers are fantastic.

Ruckus, you're in Baltimore?  A buddy of mine (and fellow MMJ fan) is about to open a brewery in Baltimore.

you best hook me up with your buddy.  We've been talking about that place for some time!  Wood Berry Kitchen is the closest business from my house, bout a five minute walk.

That's cool that you're so close.  Jon is a great guy, he and his wife actually did T5 with me and my fiance.  He says they should be up and running in early May.

So I should plan my Baltimore trip for June?   ;)

Binny's didn't have any Bramble Rye for me tonight, so they suck   ;D. I didn't know it was such a limited run, guess I'm just glad I got to try it  :P
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

My local guy wasn't scheduled to get it but they sent him a case. I lucked out.

I'll be in Cleveland this weekend, but my excitement for the Jays-Indians game on Sunday is somewhat dulled by the horrendous beer choices offered in some areas at Progressive Field: Bud, Bud Light (CND spelling), Labatt Light (whatever the fuck that is) and Fosters (kangaroo piss). I did read that you can find at least one kind of Great Lakes on draft, so I'll have my eyes peeled for sure.  I'm sitting field level just around 20 rows up from the Jays dugout. Go Jays!

That's the worse part about going to the ball park.  Which is made worse by the fact that a beer will probably cost you around $10. At both Great American (Reds' stadium) and Louisville Slugger Field (Reds' AAA affiliate) they have ONE tap in the entire stadium that doesn't have some sort of Pilsner on it.  I usually spend 2 or 3 innings looking for it.  >:(

I'm seeing Red-Cards on Tuesday. Can't wait! Happy Opening Day!

commerica park in detroit now serves 7different flavors of bell's beer.  our field is pimped out.

Busch Stadium is almost all In-Bev and it's way WAY overpriced. There are I think 2 places that serve Schlafly thankfully. But same issue, it's way overpriced. 1 glass is as much as a 6er at the store.

I'm used to paying $$$ for beer in Toronto venues, so I'm not shocked. I'm glad our money is at par now, but paying $10 for Bud is morally wrong.

This is really cool Walter.  We've been talking about this "new brewery around the corner" that we heard of for a year now.  Glad to hear they'll be up and running for my birthday.

And alady, June sounds perfect.  Of course anytime you choose to visit would be perfect.

The stout is MASSIVE. It's fantastic. It's a Thanksgiving Tradition for me to go for a long run, get home shower and start pounding these like there is no tomorrow all before 9AM.

Sticky Icky Green Stuff

yeah breakfast stout is pretty intense.  red rye reminds me of two hearted ale.  not really down with it, despite it's extremely high ratings on beeradvocate.com, do not understand 4packs.  6'ers should be the standard for everything.
