Saw - I heard such good things about this movie but was really disappointed!
The two lead characters were so unlikable I didn't give a shit if they died or not. The twist didn't shock or surprise me at all. I just didn't care...

The Rutles - somewhat dated humour wise but still amusing Beatles parody starring Eric Idle with some good cameos.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

I love the rutles too, they played their last ever show in Liverpool last year, it was great fun, Neil Innes has some great stories.

memoirs of a geisha - i wasn't going to see it, but it's been about 1000 degrees outside for the better part of a week, and the cinema has air-con

not a bad film though! its been years since i read the book, but the "look" of the film was beautiful
love a song for the way it makes you feel

Like that movie also. Makes you ask questions about what we should have done in the first Iraqi war.Very good acting also by Peter Saarsgard,Jamie Foxx and also Chris Cooper.

Birth - very interesting movie about a young boy who may or may not be a reincarnation Nicole Kidman's dead husband.
Got slaughtered by the critics when it came out but I choose to ignore that & enjoyed the film immensely.
Directed by Johnathan Glazer who has made videos for Radiohead, Blur, Nick Cave, Massive Attack.

I'm going to watch Jim Jarmusch's Broken Flowers tonight.

dragonboy

I've got that in my pile of unwatched DVDs. Jim & Bill should be great!  :)

If you haven't seen it yet, get Jarmusch's allegorical anti-western Dead Man. It's fantastic.

dragonboy

Dead Man was good.
I think Mystery Train & Down By Law are my (Jim Jarmusch) favs. I didn't like Night on Earth or Ghostdog so much.
I haven't seen Strangers in Paradise.
Gotta love Year of the Horse just because it's Neil  :)

I love westerns and Dead Man is one of the best modern day westerns.

I haven't seen Year Of The Horse, but Dead Man's score is by  Neil Young and his distorted Gibson with an overly-active Bigsby.
