this was the first Jodorowsky film i've ever seen, actually.  While I do understand that it was really mostly about the images and the beauty and the symbolism, I grew a little tired after an hour and a half. I know exaclty where I wanted the movie to end, and I feel like he crammed a lot of images and symbolism into the last half hour just to sort of get it out there. Granted, I know very little about Jodorowsky and have never seven any of his films prior to this one.  A pretty beautiful piece of art, nevertheless.

I think i'd ike to try it when i'm more in the mood for that sort of movie.  I watched it without having any idea what I was getting myself into... I'll try again sometime.

I watched excerpts from this movie in a cafe in Amsterdam quite a few years ago.  It really did my head in, but I think that I was in exactly the right "mood" for watching it  ;)

Saw Cube and House Of 1000 Corpses again yesterday with some friends.
I love those! Anyone seen Pirates of the...3?

Finished watching "End Of The Century: The Ramones". Very interesting documentary. It just goes to show you the power of music, when 4 guys who really do not like each other can put it all aside and get up on stage and rawk. It has given me more drive to learn to play their songs. I just have to get used to barre chords and figure out the timing. ugh

Saw Jackass Two at the weekend - not as good as the first but worth seeing for some of Steve O's stunts.

Also saw Zodiac which has been getting rave reviews - well acted and pretty decent all round.

I finally watched Pan's Labyrinth. I know it's a companion piece to del Toro's Devil's Backbone, which I liked better, although I like and admire both films a great deal.

I just watched Children Of Men, kinda dark, depressing, violent, and a little hopeful. I really really liked it. Also watched Red Dawn over the weekend :D. It wasnt as good as it was when I was 8, but still enjoyable.
i kinda think right now is a pretty good time to just sit down and sing people some mother-fuckin songs

Seth Rogen is my favourite young actor and this movie is going to be the funniest movie of the year.

I can see the similarity. Jim James is The Joker!!!  :o
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Just finished The Devil & Daniel Johnston.

Wow.  Heartbreakingly incredible.  What a captivating film.  I just type enough good things about this.  So good.

I'll be ordering some of his albums come pay-day.

You know....I never finished the movie. I gave up after the shitty sheets part. My roommates in college all loved it. They were not the type you would have expected to actually like it. I figured hey this has got to be great.....ugh I was wrong. Mabe I was in the wrong frame of mind at the time.

I do not think Hot Young Teen Lesbians is a movie that needs to be discussed here.   :o :D ;D

Sunshine.  Some nice effects, but... meh.

noise - an excellent new australian film about a small town police officer with tinitus (sounds daggy but it was great... if you want to know what it's like living in australia, i would highly recommend getting your hands on it) stars rose byrne's boyfriend brendan cowell

THE BLUES BROTHERS

(less excitingly) the new pirates of the caribbean
love a song for the way it makes you feel
