Quotetres colours are awesome.
red is my favorite.
if i remember correctly...
I think I liked Red best, then White & then Blue...but I really need to watch them again.

i've been wanting to see those. what movies are comparable to them?

?
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

dragonboy

Can't think of anything to compare them to really...why do you need comparisons anyway?  :)

If you're a fan of A) foreign & independent films and B) intelligent & thought provoking cinema then you should definitely check them out.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Just saw the Grindhouse movies... I think I liked them.

:)

The Grindhouses def have a bit of the  :D :D :D going on, but I enjoyed them both and found them entertaining

I was a little surprised that I like Rodriguez's Planet Terror more than Tarantino's Death Proof though. Figured I woulda like QT's flick more, but I think he has gone downhill a bit since Jackie Brown (which is my favorite flick of his)

.......Watched The Strangers this weekend. It was okay, but they waited so long for stuff to happen the viewers tension was likely already gone. And talk about shitty ending

Liked them both, preferred Death Proof. I just bought Kill Bill 1&2, looking forward to watching them again for the 2nd time...

That looks like it could be real good

Im a big Jeffrey Wright fan, hes great in everything, but rarely gets a role as big as this one looks like it is. Cant wait for that

I like Brody a lot too, and Mos Def as Mr. Duckwalk should be fun as well. I noticed from the credits that Emmanuelle Chriqui is in it too...Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm.

I'll see it. I'm disappointed that it doesn't seem to look like Darren Aronofsky's other films though. I haven't seen The Fountain, but Pi and Requiem for a Dream both have beautiful, innovative cinematography (and Requiem has one of the greatest scores ever written in my opinion, contributing to it's status as basically a perfect movie.)

I love Requiem & Pi, the Fountain was really disappointing. I think it's cool that he's doing something different...you'd rather he was a one trick pony like M Night Shyamalan?

Personally, I think that Requiem and Pi, while both very intense, are not the work of anybody who could ever possibly be a one trick pony. Would his trick be amazingness? In that case, I'm all for it.

dragonboy

Up until now his films have been very visual, artistic pieces of cinema. All well & good if he had made 3 excellent movies like that but he failed with the Fountain IMO, therefore I think it's cool that he's trying something a little more mainstream  :)

Surely a varied & diverse portfolio is a good thing?

The reviews (for the Wrestler) suggest that he has made an exceptional film this time around & I can't wait to see it...no release date for Japan yet though, I'll probably end up buying it on DVD as always.

You should see The Fountain though. I kind of liked it, but I agree with DB that it was disappointing. It was pretty interesting/weird, but nowhere near cohesive enough for me to call it good.

With how much time and $$ was put into it too, I thought that made it more disappointing. I thought it was okay, but I remember after watching it and reading reviews, most either loved it or hated it, and those who loved it seemed to be reaching for something that wasnt really there

The Wrestler looks like itll be very good though. Maybe im a little biased because I think Mickey Rourke is great in basically every movie hes ever been in, but in this movie, especially considering his past performances, even I think he looks like he took it up a notch

I agree with mostly everyone. The Wrestler looks excellent. Pi was very good, Requiem was good but it made me sick. I might try to watch it again someday. The Fountan was ok, i found it to be confusing. A friend of mine loved it and I never got that.

Did I mention Quantum of Solace is good? The theme song sucks balls, but the movie itself is altogether awesome.

Just got finished watching Chinatown. I can't believe a movie about irrigation could be so amazing.

purvis9876

Just bought and watched Wall-E again. Even better than the first time.  :)
Evey: Are you, like, a crazy person?
V: I am quite sure they will say so.
