QuoteBruno - Fucking hilarious and NOT for the easily offended or weak of heart. I'm positivly shocked it was an R rating with what they left in. I have got to see what was cut to get it off the NC17 rating it was sitting at. SBC will do anything for a laugh it seems.

you think theyll release the original version on DVD?

and this just occurred to me, but honestly how much less money would the movie make if it was NC17 instead of R? I dont think too many parents would take their 15 year old or whatever to Bruno, so IMO it wouldve made just as much $$$ basically if it was NC17
I agree, it would have made just as much money, however most theaters will not show an NC-17 movie which is why they had to cut. Yes, the original version will be on DVD because Special Features can be "unrated" so anything goes on those.

Pourquois?  The Potter movies (and their premise) are great entertainment.  I thought Order of the Phoenix was the weakest of the lot.  Was EXTREMELY bummed that Sirius gets knocked off.

Im probably never going to watch the Potter series, but thanks for the spoiler  :-/

That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

1) I posted SPOILER before it originally

2) Its freaking Marley & Me, I didnt think anyone cared about that movie here since its not a movie fan's movie. And if someone was interested in it, most likely they already knew how it ended since they probably read the book or heard from someone else. HP is observed a lot more seriously.

3) Thats possibly the only actually funny spoiler in the history of movies, that Ive come across at least.

It was quite a while ago, but I was stunned by that movie. Everything you said about "awesome" :). DiCaprio was surprisingly good for me in that movie, haven't seen many movies where I liked him, but this must be one of his best. Kate Winslet was as extraordinary as expected.

It's just his little facial ticks and mannerisms that are so damn perfect. Has he ever been bad in a role? I cannot wait for the climactic scene in HBP with him. For those who have read know what I'm talking about. Should be great.

I like him in all the Scorsese movies. I didn't like him at all before then.

A spoiler is still a spoiler. I don't think you can argue on that. I thought it seemed ironic that you would complain about a Potter spoiler. And I do remember somebody getting pissed for the dog dies thing. I didn't expect you to be so defensive, I was just playing. Next time I'll remember to use a winking smiley.  ;) ;) ;)

A spoiler with a warning is different from a spoiler with no warning.

I didnt really complain, mostly because its a movie I dont care to see. Mostly just wanted to give MMJ a heads up for the future.

DB was the one who was angered by it.

We talked about The Wire spoilers within the last week, so is a spoiler still a spoiler?  ;)

Really?! IMO, he probably has had the best run of any actor over the last decade. Not only has every movie been good or better, but I thought DiCaprio has been very good in all of them, especially The Departed and The Aviator (which I know I wouldnt have liked much at all if not for his performance).

The Beach (2000)
Gangs of New York (2002) (very underrated movie IMO)
Catch Me If You Can (2002)
The Aviator (2004)
The Departed (2006)
Blood Diamond (2006)

...and have yet to see Revolutionary Road and Body of Lies, but definitely will and both look good from what Ive seen. Shutter Island looks awesome.

Gangs of New York is one of my favorite movies ever. I used to not like DiCaprio at all, then my gf dragged me to that movie without me ever seeing a preview of it or ever hearing about it. Ever since GONY, he is one of my favorite actors.

So I keep hearing from people they can't believe Bruno got away with an R and not whatever's worse - can someone explain to me what this means? Lots of nudity or sex acts? Or what? Don't have to spoil anything, but I'm just wondering what I should prepare myself for.

Yes both and its fucking hilarious.  ;D
Because we're all in this together...

The past couple weeks I've watched the following Ed Wood items:
Night of the Ghouls
Bride of the monster
Jailbait
Glen or Glenda

Mostly out of morbid curiosity.  I can say with 100% confidence that they are truly trash--I ended up watching them all with my dvd player on 1.5X speed (still plays the sound and dialogue).  A huge bulk of these "movies" are stock footage and goofy ass melodramatic pauses in the dialogue.  The only fun here is checking them out for historical purposes (if you can even qualify them as historical).

I dig Dicaprio but I didn't enjoy GONY at all.  Just came across as way too much gratuitous violence that undermined what had the potential to be a very good movie IMO.

I think Leo has been hit or miss in the 2000s.

My favorites were Gilbert Grape, Basketball Diaries, Catch Me and Departed.

Definitely looking forward to seeing Revolutionary Road
