QuoteJust saw Little Miss. Sunshine last night. Very funny and endearing. Another bonus it's soundtracked by DeVotchka and Sufjan Stevens. Definitely got my $10.75 worth.  :)

I just saw it last night and LOVED IT!!!  Even though I saw it for free, I would gladly pay full price to see it.

Have you seen Swingers? I think that's Vince Vaughn's best movie. Check it out if you haven't...

QuoteWhen you talk with me long enough about movies, Bruce Campbell's name will eventually come up.
Found this interesting link at AICN:
http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=24217

"...MY NAME IS BRUCE starring Bruce Campbell as... Bruce Campbell! The real life actor Bruce Campbell gets mistaken for his character, Ash, from the EVIL DEAD films, and is recruited to fight a real life monster."

I did some catching up: These last days I saw:

The Constant Gardener: A+

Broken Flowers: B-   Some good scenes here, but overall, I was rather dissapointed with this one, my expectations were too high maybe...

Matchpoint: A  I got freaked by this one. Very good acting, crazy story, pretty people (note the understatement, Mss Johansson is way too sexy), very good film. I think it was my first Woody Allen movie, it got my curious about his other work. Any recomandations on were the continue my venture into Woody Allen territory? Thanks

This afternoon, I'll get to see City of God, I heard great things about it, so I'm looking forward to that one...

City Of God is a great movie!

Yesterday I watched Julio Medem's La Ardilla Roja (Red Squirrel) which has been in my unwatched pile forever & today I watched Cache (Hidden).
The former was good but I still think Sex & Lucia is my fav of the 3 Julio Medem movies that I've
seen The latter was a superb, very tense, thought-provoking movie. Has anyone else seen this or any other of Michael Haneke's films? I just read that Funny Games is being remade, I shall to see the original...

Jarhead - started out great but lost its impact about halfway through. Still good though & not anywhere near as bad as the US critics led me to believe:

Made me think of Tigerland a little, which is an excellent movie.

I too, am a fan of City of God, excellent film. I just saw "Little Miss Sunshine"- I laughed so hard I snorted in the theater, and my face hurt the next day!!! Steve Carell has some amazing lines, His character is hilarious.

Agreed.  Did it remind you of "the whole 9 yards' a lot?  because it just seemed like a huge ripoff of that movie to me.
