Children Of Heaven - a delightful little Iranian movie.
The Longest Yard - far from a good movie but I must confess I do like Adam Sandler.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

A trip to a chain DVD rental store is pretty depressing these days.......I'm lucky if they have one thing that I even halfway want to see......the only thing I rented last time was The Machinist, and I actually liked it pretty well.

Seen Jackass 2 at the cinema the other night.  I loved every minute of it.  It was great to see Spike Jonze and Jay Chandareallylong name alongside all the Jackass boys..

I haven't had that much fun at the cinema since seeing Sideways.

go Netflix, best thing since sliced bread.

V for Vendetta - a little slow starting but very good. I wonder how much Hugo Weaving got paid to hide behind a mask for an entire movie?

TransAmerica - great, great movie! The whole cast was excellent especially Felicity Huffman, Graham Greene & the hilarious Burt Young.

QuoteCastAway.

yeesh. the end of that movie just wrenches me somethin awful.

i don't know if i've truly been in love with someone to the extent where i could marry them, but that movie just evokes that feeling inside me. that is one of the worst heartbreaks ever, because nothing ever went wrong. and there was no reason it couldn't have worked.

"i never should have gotten on that plane"

except for that.

this movie makes me want to be vigorously in love with someone.

Ah, did you see it on TNT or TBS the other night?  Cause I did, for the first time in like 3 years.

Man...that movie is AWESOME!!  The fact that Tom Hanks can keep my attention for so long without saying a word is incredible.  make a castaway 2!!

A pretty good doc of the most important architect in the world. Ironically, I'm going to be driving by one of Gehry's current projects in a few minutes.

Happy Gilmore (my wife had never seen it)
Down In The Valley - very strange Ed Norton movie. Started out interesting but lost it (& my attention) towards the end.

Just got finished with "Thank You For Smoking". It was a great movie, not as funny as some people have told me but it was good enough that I would watch it again.

Quoteeveryone should go see "Little Miss Sunshine". One of the few films I have ever seen where people clapped at the end.

I went to the sneak today and they showed "Little Miss Sunshine". Never heard of that movie before and at first I was a bit disappointed because i hoped that they were going to show Borat. But the movie surprised me. I loved it and the ending was just hilarious! I´ve never seen people clapping at the end of a movie. But when the family finished their great dance on the stage everyone was clapping and cheering. It was like...we were in the audience of that contest. wonderful.

And i got 2 new DVDs:

28 Days Later
and
Friday Night Lights

Both are great and the Soundtracks, too! GY!BE (28 days later) and a lot of Explosions in the Sky (FNL)!

Oh and I saw Intacto a few Days ago. A very good spanish (?) movie.

Hey Patches, I was looking forward to seeing that one...did you just give away then end of the movie?

Eyes Wide Shut
Quite disturbing as all Kubrick's are, just got around to seeing this one. The music in it works really well, that creepy piano thing throughout it.
I've now seen A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket and The Shining. I'm thinking 2001: A Space Odyssey should be the next one I view, any suggestions?
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!
