ditto.

The original three Star Wars movies are groundbreaking and tons of fun - although young pups like you may find them dated. Put away the vitriol and crack open some beers and enjoy these films during a weekend movie fest.

QuoteAny particular reason for your sentiment?

i've never been into sci fi or fantasy stories.  and i think i saw these too late in my life. it seems like all the hardcore fans first memories were of watching star wars and they get off on it like some of us like baseball or video games.  some of my friends think I'm less of a human being for not watching them, but it's not like were talking Plato's Republic here or anything.  I've tried to watch the first movie 3 or 4 times and it bored the shit out of me. sorry.

No need to apologize--I just get curious about what moves folks sometimes...
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

Trois Couleurs Bleu - Excellent movie. Still not sure quite what to make of it, maybe I'll have to watch it again.
My wife was very disappointed, just as she was when we watched Cache. She needs movies to have a conclusion & likes to be spoonfed the answers.
Anyone seen this? What did you think of it?
I have White & Red to watch next...
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

I haven't seen Kieslowski's Blue or White but loved Red. The characters were so real in this unsettling way, and I haven't seen many other films that convey so effectively the longing for human connection that (i would say) all people experience, even those most reclusive. I'm glad you brought that series up because I've always wanted to see the other two.
Everyone has a photographic memory. Some don't have film.

Blue is definitely worth seeing.
I went over to the IMDB forum to read other people's thoughts on the movie
It would seem most people agree to Blue is the best, then Red, then White. I'll let you know what I think of them when I get round to watching them, let me know if you get round to seeing blue  :)

Borat. I thought it was so over-hyped up. I really don't like watching naked guys fight each other. Yes it had some very funny stuff in it.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Yeah I saw that a couple of weeks ago, looks good.

Layer Cake - excellent UK gangster movie.
Daniel Craig was very good. I'm not a fan of recent Bond but I might have to check out Casino Royal after seeing this...

We had a sort of "dinner party" last night. It was just a bunch of our friends hanging out and spending time together. I guess it was our "Thanksgiving" or what-have-you. Anyway, we all got pretty tore and watched... "Home Alone." It was fun. I forgot just how much I loved that movie when I was younger.

On an unrelated note, has anyone seen "For Your Consideration" yet? They aren't showing it in my town, and I am just dying to see this movie, as I am a huge Christopher Guest fan.

home alone is my favorite movie, ever.

I'm so excited about Joe Pesci coming back to acting.  In a Denire directed movie no less.

For fans of Spaced & Shaun Of The Dead...ta daa!

Pretty sure the police in my home country don't carry guns but it's still a cool poster.
