Saw this band last night on their tour opening for The Lone Bellow and they really brought it!  Show was at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix and it can be a bit stuffy and reserved in atmosphere there but they got the whole room up and rocking out.  2 piece horn section, dude on a Wurlitzer electric piano and the vocals of East made it sound really authentic and soulful.  They killed Tupelo Honey by Van Morrison and The Faces' Stay With Me along with a bunch of their originals.

There is a lot of vintage-sounding classic soul bands out there right now, but these guys are the real deal and probably better than many.  I would love to see them open for MMJ and really get the crowd fired up!
