A dear friend is as big of a fan of theirs as I am of MMJ, so I figured I could go check these guys out live with him.  I've watched some streams with him and they are really adept technically, but I'm just not sure I "get" it.  It's like they are the Rush of jam bands.  Prog-jam.

I considered it originally in all the excitement of tour dates but concluded I couldn't pull it off.   Then I got that conference invite which caused me to think about it again, but even with free lodging, the factors that caused me to not be able to make it were still there.   So, no....

That did get me excited enough about thinking of  travelling that when APR presented his "Minnesota is an underrated gem" argument, I bought in 100%.
