Teenage Fanclub - 17 Nov

I'm so envious, I've never seen Teenage Fanclub, but I still am blown away by Songs From Northern Britain.  Its more Badfinger than Badfinger was and more Big Star than Big Star was.  What a fucking brilliant masterpiece.

Nathaniel Rateliff is damn good too.  Nothing like a good soul band with horns!

I've never seen them live either - Bandwagonesque has been a favourite of mine since it came out.  The Fannies' new album (out today, I think) is excellent too - well worth a listen.

Looking forward to NR&tN - should be a good evening.

Leaving work early today to head to Nashville for 2 nights of Phish at The Ascend Amphitheater.
Love this venue and it's pretty sweet Phish is playing a place this small, outdoors at the end of October when the weather is still in the 80's!!!

Big speculation here...but Bob Weir is playing The Ryman Wednesday night and has no show tonight!! Here's hoping he's planning on joining Phish tonight for a few songs!!!

walterfredo

Enjoy! I'll be in Atlanta this weekend for the two Alpharetta shows.

Crazy 2 nights of Phish. People went absolutely nutso when Bob came out, as you can imagine! West L.A. fade away was probably my favorite of the songs they did together. And I was in the pit for Night 2. Hard to say really which night was better. As a whole it was fantastic.

The other thing is that Ascend Amphitheater is an incredible venue! Throughout the 2 nights I was at times on the lawn, in the pit and in the seats on the far left and the sound was incredible everywhere! perfect venue. Wish I had seen MMJ there. I will not miss that next time.

Marc Ford - Nov. 2nd in Phoenix  I hear he is ripping it up again, more like Fuzz Machine circa 2007 with long two set shows and lots of guitar solos.

This will be great on its own and now its become the thing to whet the appetite for Magpie Salute in 2017.  Now their deubt run in January in NYC is up to four nights at the Gramercy.  Seems to be some demand for this Black Crowes reunion.

We're going to Nashville this year for New Year's Eve to see Widespread Panic at the big arena there. We're also seeing them the night before, the 30th. On the 29th they're doing a benefit at The Ryman that we tried to get tickets for but got shut out. We already had a hotel booked for 3 nights, so I went in search of another show to catch on the 29th. I'm usually not one for cover bands, but members of The Black Crowes involved in any project gets my attention. The list of musicians involved has grown a lot since we bought the tickets a few months ago too! Carl has been added!! check this out:
