Sweden? I heard Sweden! I think Sweden would be nice. Sweeeeedeeeeen!  :D Gothenburg not Stockholm, west coast baby!  8)

Does your west coast hate your east coast, or is arbitrary geographic location not a reason for violence in Sweden like it is here in the states?

There's definitely some tension, but I can't say violence really. It's mostly between capital Stockholm (east coast) and second largest city Gothenburg (west coast) and probably most prominent when it comes to sports. MMJ's been to Gothenburg so I feel like they should keep up with that tradition... never mind Stockholm, I hear they don't even like peanut butter pudding surprises there...  ;)

See the hallmark of a thriving society is when you have "musicians" using their arbitrary coastal location as justification for homicide. It defined my 6th grade year when the trashy kids had their parents pull them out of school when TuPac gott capped

If the promoters wake up after sleeping on All Points West Festival in Jersey City last year I can see them stopping by. I believe it takes place in August.

I thought they went bankrupt or something logistical made it impossible to do again.

Yeah I think the festival is dead for good. Oh well at least I got to see Radiohead there headline the first year.
The fact that my hearts beating, is all the proof you need.

That's why I'm hoping Waterloo starts up in earnest this time. Anything too close to NYC and outdoors is just subject too many agencies/authorities/paranoia to really be lasting

Waterloo is in the sticks, near a major interstate, and it has a heritage for better or worse

Do you think they are still boycotting Arizona ?  :o

Northern Neighbour

My wife and I will be in Australia in April, including attending the Byron Bay Bluesfest.  We're hoping MMJ makes it Down Under at this time.

I hope so too!!! Have fun at Bluesfest. I was supposed to go last year but had to sell my tickets. I'm sure you'll like Byron Bay though, from what I've heard anyway.
How loud can silence get?

I have no intention of trying to make hangout on top of the of summer events i have planned, but it would be really cool to see jacket in da sand next to do ocean
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

darkglow

i'm about 20 minutes from the site of the hangout music fest.. and if the rumors are true.. it could be the best lineup of the summer festival season.. we'll find out at 1pm tomorrow

EasyRyder

MMJ at hangout would be siiiick! Thanks for the reminder. I went last year and it was such a great under the radar festival. Besides the weather, it went off without a hitch.

I would do it again in a heartbeat if MMJ headlines (i actually e-mailed MMJ management about playing it last year  ::)). THAT music on the BEACH....whew....

That lineup is AMAZING but its an urban festival and I don't really like not camping and shit.

I must be old and crotchety.  Give a sweet hotel, hot tub, and a tasty restaurant over a tent and a camping stove any day!  At least for a music festival.  I love to camp and spend time outdoors...just not with thousands of wookies in close proximity.
